  1. Ah, don’t think I have met you before. My names Adam. There is a few of us that take our crawlers out in Bristol, Troopers is where I most often go when I can free up some time. A few of the guys head to breakheart quarry in Dursley every now and again and also hang an woods. I live in westbury on trym and sometimes head over to the blaise house estate, some nice mild trailing in there. One of the Facebook groups I admin on are holding a club meeting at a disused quarry in gurney slade next month, excellent site for the trucks and all ages are welcome, all electric RC welcome too not just the crawlers. No nitro or petrols though.
  2. Hey man, I’m from Bristol, I tend to go up Troopers Hill and have been to hanham woods also. I guess I should ask your real name as there’s the possibility that we may already met an one of the locations?
  3. Mounted the new Carisma Sca-1e “kit” tyres onto my SSD beadlocks ready for the Eleanor build??
  4. Had some replica license plates arrive today for the gone in 60 seconds Eleanor tribute truck.
  5. Thanks man, probably should have said that’s my friends channel? mines Adams RC if you fancy a look.
  6. Today was the junkyard dogs first true test on the rough stuff, she performed awesomely with no faults, went everywhere my friends scx10.2 went, not bad for 97mm tyres??
  7. Couldn’t agree more? Want to give these kit shocks a bit of use then onto some internal spring units I reckon.
  8. Gave this rusty heap a shakedown on the garden course today ready for hitting the real rough stuff tomorrow ??
  9. @RCbutcher on these the front lamps are built into the grille assembly which gets mounted after painting. Bit of a pain to cut out for if I’m honest?
  10. Yes sir, only way to get the detail right unfortunately. The base colours I’ve used for the rusty show through are tamiya TS paint (hardbody paint) as the colours I needed aren’t available for lexan. To get around this I used tamiya PS-55 flat clear as a primer before using the TS spray, I also sealed in all the work with the PS-55 once finished.
  11. I’ve produced this kind of look using tamiya spray paint, masking tape, salt, weathering powders, blu tak and a whole lot of time. Feel free to hit me with some questions if it’s the kind of look your after?
  12. Got the first colour down tonight? And also made use of some IKEA instructions, we all know they’re as clear as mud and of no use to their intended purpose.
  13. Yes sir, has just the right amount of “stick” ??
  14. Started the tedious job of masking up for a new paint scheme (Adam hates masking, FACT) movie star tribute for this one?
  15. Love the green love the lights? Nice job.
  16. Not today, but last night in the cave I built the axles and shimmed the diffs. Also fitted up my homemade drag link and a tasty superlift steering link??
  17. Unfortunately not @yoodoo but I’ve produced my own “tribute” to the weathered one they showed off in the promo pics.
  18. That was about 2.5hrs into it. Couple of tricky bits to understand in the instructions but I never have been the sharpest stick in the forest?
  19. Really nice trucks these, I have a couple of friends that run them, they speak very highly of them. They perform well on the trail too. Ive been lucky enough to paint and detail the engine bay mouldings for a few of them.
  20. My current rubber of choice is the boom racing hustlers. I’ve found them so good it feels like cheating! Used them in the damp recently too and they seem to de-clog pretty good. Out performed a friend who was running the pro-line hyrax and as @Gaz! mentioned the hyrax clogged to the point they may as well have been racing slicks. I run the 113mm version but they come smaller and larger and include 2 stage foams.
