  1. These are the photos requested...only way I found to send them sorry. Any questions, let me know.
  2. Are you still after these....having a sort out and have at least 6!
  3. Hylomar does'nt go off like silicone, used it for years in the motor trade. Use it spareingly tho.
  4. Those are the rods I've used including the correct flux. Still have a couple left for a small job, hopefully this week.
  5. Try " air supplies.co.uk". Your looking for Bundy Tube. Usually in imperial, 3/16, which being an old fart is what I've always thought of it as. Pita of my apprentiship was making new brake pipes!
  6. Johnson Matthey is the only one I have experience of, and only rods. Ablemable has different thickness of rods, at least last time I ordered. There's not too much difference, except price, between Silverflo 55 and 452 (45% silver). Silverflo 30 is a good filler, but needs a little more heat, not much. You can buy various tube straighteners, some very expensive, some a few quid. Kunifer, I always think has a kind of memory, so is difficult to get really straight and is just a tad soft, but works. Someone did post a supplier, but I can't find it now, gas pipe maybe?
  7. Just a quicky on this..Able mable crafts on ebay. Very helpful supplier, quick to despatch etc. They are not the cheapest, but have a full range of solders and brazing rods, all of which come with the correct flux if needed..some are coated. Different silver contents are available, for higher strength or more towards filler and a very comprhensive guide leaflet on how to work them. Sounds like I have a connection to them but I don't..just feel good suppliers need a plug. Other tips from my limited knowledge..get a chainsaw file, they are perfect for "fishmouthing" 3/16 tube for joining.. don't overheat, makes a mess..don't use too much flux, makes even more mess. Try the making a paste of flux. Some silver solder does'nt like cooling with water, some don't loose strength. Cleaning is most important of all for smooth flow, I always finish with degreaser. Sorry to go one a bit..self isolation makes you verbose!
  8. Glad you like them Dan.. a real pita! 9 pieces in them and 4 goes at making them. The running lights where the real fun, lots of semi round bits and tube stuck together and turned in a drill with a blade acting as a lathe!
  9. Thanks, enjoyed this one. The body now sits on the shelf, I used the Sawback as a base for my first Powerwagon aftera rebuild and upgrade of stuff. No repairs needed tho..impressed with these.
  10. Finally finished this body, being in lock down for a while ( at risk group!) Few tidy ups to do but fairly happy. Just need to finish servo winch and a little wiring then try it out..in the garden tho' .
  11. HM armed forces fit very well. They are a bit heavy, but then most figures are. Good flex in the body but I messed with the head a bit so they weren't looking up all the time. Had to take one boot off the driver to get him positioned right but you can't see that. Pics I hope (not too good at this so bare with me!)
  12. I just bought one of these.. its TINY! seems to work well https://www.mr-rcworld.co.uk/shop/pico-switch/
  13. Yes... But mine was stuck in the dealers for 3 years because of its poo colour!!!!
  14. Yes, another Dodge Powerwagon,. Sorry in advance if its getting too much, but I have a soft spot for them ( this is my second build..other was a Sawback). Its cos' we had one as recovery truck when I was an apprentice too many years ago. So I started months ago with a TRX-4 sport kit, ( still need to sort selling the body etc), fitted cantilever kit and made very low battery tray, moved electrics and so on to fit a dropped rear bed. Started on the body, strengthening the join between cab and bed so I can make a hinged system for battery change, cutting out windows, making seats from balsa covered in surgical tape, and springing for an Rc nerds dash and wheel etc etc. Dropped bed was a little stressful but done now. Anyway more work to do but at least I decided on colour. Some pics (very amateur I'm afraid)
