The best thing to do with regards to the info is call RC modelz as they changed a few things and haven't updated the comparisons etc.

Yes the KM is a clone of the HPI Baja, parts are interchangeable to. The KM 002c is also a great buy mate. Its worth the extra for a few upgrades. The KM Baja in my opinion is on par with HPI. Loads of people here run the KM Baja. They come with a 30.5cc Ported Fuelie engine, they very quick mate. I have the 002c and it can really take a beating, not to mention parts are everywhere and cheap. You won't be disappointed buying one If I was you Id get on the phone with RC Modelz and have a chat with them about the different models and upgrades. Awesome bunch and very helpful.

Just finished with the quick release cage mod. It certainly makes life a lot easier.

Fitted the new windows today. I opted for the black tinted ones. Quite happy with the look and quality.

Another awesome bash day for large and small scale. Good fun with the lads!

Read up about tuning mate. Start with finding your engines stock needle settings. Lots of guides on here if you use search function. Good luck. If its not a tuning problem then more info is needed.

They are nylon but it was a bad landing. I wouldn't expect anything to have survived that. I was carrying speed to and it landed square on the wheel, so it took all the impact. My last bashing session I ragged the car around badly and nothing gave way, so I'm very impressed with the quality. There was an original HPI 5b ss converted to sc that also broke a few things today, so I suppose it could happen to anyone on any car. I managed to get a cheap set of KM monster tyres, so now I have one spare when I'm out of luck with them I'll go for the hostiles. If you would like me to post the broken rear 5b tyre+rim so you could size it up let me know. Will be free of charge.

Personally I wouldn't remove the glow plug. It really isn't necessary. Don't see how it would benefit removing the plug. By the way. Nice idea!! Do you have some pics?

+1 on axle stands. They can be a real life saver. A friend of mines father had a car fall on him. Broke a few ribs and punctured lung. Lucky to have survived. Safety first.

I totally agree! But I think it will be pretty dam hard to give the losi 5ive a run for its money with a new design. I use to have a losi 5ive and I tell you what, that car is amazing. However..... It just didn't suit my need for bashing, so I sold it and bought a KM Baja.

Everything is made in China these days. I'm very happy with KM as a company who give us great quality cars for half the price of competitors. HPI, Losi are proven cars, so if they clone them and the price is right why not? There are other competitors who have their own products but as we all know HPI Baja and Losi 5ive are among the best. I'm pretty sure lots of people want them but can't afford them. I guess KM is about cloning and good on them. Why risk money spent on a new design, when you can have a clone of the best cars in the market, that's already well established with available hop ups and spares available before the car hits the shelves? I'll keep buying from KM as long as they keep cloning with the quality of the Baja. That's just my personal opinion [emoji3]

Ran in the new engine in my XTM rail. Cleaned the KM Baja and just admired her beauty.
