  3. I don't know to be honest, I'm sure you could put a stiffer spring in it if you could find one.
  4. I haven't used a dx2 to be honest and truth be known, the throttle is quite light on this too. I would imagine it's pretty similar.
  5. No sorry, looking to sell to funds parts for my kit car. Thanks though.
  6. I am selling the majority of my kit so first up is my DX4s. Only been used for 2 rounds until I switched to a stick set. I bought it new from wheel spin. Comes complete with original box, logic carry case, 1 receiver, 2spare grips, some stickers, and instructions. Only fault is a nick in the aerial where I lost the aerial tube in a race and the aerial dropped onto the exhaust. Has been used since for racing with no trouble at all.

Another vote for the nautilus tanks, I have a mini and its way better than the likes of the innokin i16's etc. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Bought some wire and wick to try my own dual coil build. I will update when I have done it. For

Thanks for the advice guys, duly noted. The problem I have had is when I bought my mini nautilus I also bought a pack of 5 heads. 3 of them so far have been duds. After doing some research, it seems a common theme with these and saw about recoiling them myself so thought i'd give it a whirl. Plus I like tinkering with stuff! For all it would cost, I still wouldnt mind giving it a go, it doesnt seem overly difficult after watching the video. Here is the link, it does go on a bit but grab a brew and have a watch and see what you think. http://m.youtube.com/index?hl=en-GB&gl=GB&desktop_uri=%2F%3Fhl%3Den-GB%26gl%3DGB#/watch?v=hxxUp_Am0k8
  11. These go well with big power, if you intend on tuning you will lose reliability no matter what anyone says. A friend of mine has an R32. It is/was putting down 580bhp atw still running twins until recently when it wrecked the crank. It was built by a very reputable gtr tuner after around 8000 miles from a fully forged rebuild. On the plus side, it had so much torque it would spin the front wheels from 3000rpm in 3rd on a bone dry road!lol Another old friend bought an imported R33 with a proven 900bhp. It lasted a month. It had to be driven to be believed though! Savage was an understatement! Keep it sensible and you will have alot of fun with the car. Have you had every corsa/saxo trying to race you? If you havent, you will!lol Good luck with it mate!

I recently watched a video of a scottish dude doing a dual coil rebuild of the nautilus bvc heads. Where can I buy ready made coils with the wick? Any links, I have looked about to no avail. Fancy giving it a whirl!
  13. Apparently not. Its a common problem with the dx4s. The best thing to do is to take out the spring and re bend a hook into what is left of the spring. There are guides on youtube of how to do it.
  14. Racing is good fun but the expense can run away with you easily! Generally the main things that break are suspension arms and pins. You may want to take extra wheels and tyres for different conditions/surfaces. Spare glow plugs, spare reciever pack or 2. Also take a couple of glow batteries just incase. Maybe some spare exhaust gaskets too. You may get booted off if your car is too loud. Ideally you would want an entire car to rob parts off if something breaks but that can be expensive. If you buy a good car and engine to start with you shouldnt have many issues.

Smoked back bacon in between 2 slices of tiger bread with plenty of butter. Now thats a winner!
  16. Not strictly true. All ages of the k series suffer the head gasket nightmares. I have been involved with many late model MG's, TF's, ZT's, ZR's, ZS's etc with head gssket woes. I do notice though that the 1.4 is the worst of them. The steel gasket did help but not solve the issue. In my eyes the biggest fault was with the head bolts themselves which are way too long. Constant heating, cooling, heating, cooling caused the bolts to stretch and gaskets to fail. The only modification that I have seen to actually work is to throw away the head bolts and change them for ARP studs and nuts. Along with the steel head gasket completely erased the head gasket problem. The K series doesnt deserve the bad reputation though. Apart from the gasket issues they are a very very good engine. Every engine has its faults, Some toyota engines have big end bearing failure issues, t spark engines the same. BMW engines are renowned for oil leaks and coil pack failures. Its not just rover with issues!
  17. Pug 106 key largo, 1.0 4 speed beast 1998 fiat punto 1.1, bought with 55k, sold it with 155000 miles 2 years later. Other than service items I never spent a penny on it. 1990 ST185 Toyota Celica GT4. 1998 Vauxhall vectra DTi, crap, enough said. 1994 MK3 1.4 astra. The only car I have ever known to wear out a crank pulley! How does that happen?lol EF 1.6 twin cam civic. Went like a scalded cat! 1994 Fiesta XR2i 16v. My favourite car I have owned. Cam belt broke so rebuilt a 2.0 zetec with some mods and stuck that in. Around 160bhp and would make mince meat of evo's and wiped the smiles off many subaru owners faces. I miss that car! 1.4 306 Toyota carina e, that car just wouldnt die! Trust me, I tried! Alfa romeo 156 1.8 t spark 2.0 single cam honda prelude 1.4 EG honda civic. Handled like a go kart! 1998 2.5 V6 mitsubishi galant. Silky smooth luxury car! 2001 Pug 206 GTi. The car that convinced me I will never own another french car! 1995 Subaru impreza WRX. Just awesome. Had an hks filter, decat, full stainless, dump valve and polar performance piggyback ecu. Christ it was quick. The fastest car point to point I have ever owned. Rev 3 MR2 turbo coupe. Christ it was quick in a straight line. Dangerous in the wet! Ended up wrapped around a sign post. 2002 Golf GTi. The most boring car I have ever owned. 1996 Ford mondeo estate. Lexus is200 sport 1998 mazda mx5. I loved that car. Would sit at 7000rpm all day long and laugh it off! Massive fun with the roof down. Definitely not a hairdressers car! Now driving a Focus ST170. Hugely under rated. Not that quick on paper. Very quick in the real world! Its reliable, comfortable, easy to work on, good enough on fuel and a hoot to drive! 7400rpm never gets boring!! Possibly the best handling car I have ever owned. Its either going to be a blob eye sti impreza or a focus ST3 next for me!

Totally agree, as a newbie to this I didnt know if I was throwing money up the wall but I have to say i'm impressed. I was considering the bigger tank but the mini suited me better. I also got a carbon wrap thrown in with it too which I am yet to put on. I am also trying a new juice too which is pretty good, cant for the life of me remember what its called but its the best I have tried yet. They sell it in the shop but its not there own brand. I am also finding that changing the wattage makes a big difference too, I am loving the massive clouds of vapour! So much so the missus was whinging she couldnt see the tv last night!lol I need to learn more about these mods, I do like a gadget!! The kanger is now my work vessel.

I had a spare hour yesterday so went into hereford into a vaping lounge/shop, vibrant vapours. Ended up costing me fortune! Came away with an innokin itaste mvp v2. Stuck on my nautilus mini and its a beast. Way way better than my kanger ipow. The big bonus for me is I have been chuffing away on it for 2 days now and the battery is still showing more green(66%+). I am using it at 4v and 10 amps. The difference is massive. Highly recommended! Also 3 weeks and only one cigarette. Massive row with the missus made me give in!

  22. Sworkz build strong buggies, I am yet to break anything at all on my S350 Evo. My only advise would be to ditch the nice red nuts, they are made of cheese and will strip themselves in no time at all, I did 2 races before one of my shocks fell off due to these nuts pulling there threads out.

Thanks guys, still off the fags 8 days now so its looking good! I have upgraded to an aspire naultilus mini after reading some reviews and what a difference, I didnt realise how sh#te the other one was! Now next question, where is a good reliable source to buy juice? Any brands I sould look out for/avoid. I am finding it hard to make any sense from any vaping forums! I am liking the black cherry at the moment. Cheers guys!
