I know how you feel, just been through a case of someone taking out a dispute on me for "not receiving their item". Tracking says 3 failed delivery attempts. Eventually the buyer responds with "I'm not in the country" No wonder you didn't get your item!!!! I hate fleebay sometimes...

Soldering fat wires to Deans are a nightmare. That's why I swapped to bullets

The trick is to put the other half of the connector on and hold the metal piece with pliers. Forms a heat sink to conduct away the local heat. The tip has to get hot....but not the rest. Also tin it well, so the heat is on for as short a time as possible.

Happy to do it if you can't find anyone local, or you want a drive up the A38 to just the other side of Derby.

Ouch.  You'll love it though!  Nothing beats a quick brushless RallyX for me at the moment.  Try Answer-RC for oil - they had RB branded stuff in clearance very cheaply - big bottles too.
