  1. Cheers dudes Its sitting on a toolbox so it cant take off!...lol Basically its very boggy, then cuts out. Sometimes in cuts out when you take the glowstarter off too. and it will cut out when you turn on the transmitter. At least now I kind of know which needle to adjust first, so I'll give that a shot. There may be more daft questions on the way
  2. I gave it another go tonight mate. I need to re-learn which needles do what and where they are because its been a while. It runs at idle, then cuts out. Seems to be flooding a fair bit too. I happened to lift it off the toolbox and was greeted with a shedload of nitro? that ran out of the exhaust. I turned the needle that points upwards (technical description!) clockwise but it just cut out more. I'll get it in one evening and do a bit of a service on it. I'm happy that it starts, so thats one hurdle sorted, now I just need to keep it running. I wont get another chance to run it properly for a few days because of work, so I'm trying to find out all I can in the meantime.
  3. Any links mate of where to get one?
  4. Right, after problems with my Hyper the last time it was out (ages ago, stopped using it before I broke it!) I decided I'd put everything back to its factory settings and try again. Got the engine started alright (makes a change!) and left it sitting there at idle. Exhaust gobbing out loads of fuel and the car sounding like it was going to stall at any moment. The electrics were turned on (would cut out otherwise), but not the transmitter. If I revved the car manually it would cut out. I know I can adjust the throttle trim but I'd rather sort it at the car first. As soon as I turned on the transmitter the car would cut out. Its been a fair while since this car was running and I cant for the life of me remember what I'm supposed to do to get it sorted. It was easier with my 18SS but then I like breaking pullstarters with that! Any advice would be ace
  5. No chance of that mate. I can never get the damn thing started for long enough to get dirty anywhere!!
  6. I cant actually believe I didnt think of that Can someone delete this to save me further embarassment?...lol
  7. I was just looking for tips on how to fix in a glowplug. Taking one out is easy enough but trying to get it back in is a nightmare. It either drops down into the heatsink or the flippin' copper seal falls off causing me anger management issues. Anyone?

  9. Cool vids. Gotta love the MT2 ....and I'm loving the song on the first vid. Who's it by?
  10. lol..yeah. Everything I need there mate. I dont like a messy desktop. Need a better pic of the pooch though
  11. Here's mine. Nothing car related. Its my dog
  12. Nice one Thanks mate, much appreciated. I wondered if it was something to do with the oil but at the moment I can only guess until I have the experience. Maybe I used too much
  13. Hey, I decided to give the cars a run last night. The Hyper is another story but the MT2 gave me some grief. I'd recently put on it a new pullstarter and a new one way bearing. They worked fine and the car started first time. The only thing I have done to the car since its last run was add some after run oil to the engine. I went to start it as normal last night but the pullstart seemed too easy to pull. I could hear the engine turning over but it wouldnt fire. It felt like the pullstart wouldnt 'catch'. (glow plug ok, fuel getting to engine etc) Then it decided to extend itself and not go back in. (see pic) So before I loose my rag or make something worse can someone suggest some steps to take please to find out what the problem is and possibly repair it?
  14. Nice one Looks like some interesting reading that this n00b can learn from
  15. On my Hyper 7 I have a 2400mah Vapextech pack and on my MT2 I have an HPI 1200mah pack. I've been using the charger that I got with my Sanwa Gemini to charge these. Rightly or wrongly I dont know. There is an 'on' light but it remains on when charging. I dont know whether the bateries are full or not, or whether I have done them any damage by using the Sanwa charger. I also have an Ansman ACX1 charger http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=...mp;ItemID=13082 that I use with my Lunchbox. It obviously only has a 'plug' thats suitable for the Lunchbox's battery. If I was to buy an adapter I should be able to use the Ansman to charge both my packs. Is that right? It has a light that comes on when charging is complete and I'm pretty sure it cuts out at that point. Sorry I dont know the proper terminology. If so which adapter would I need? There are so many... http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=...goryID=99201520 Cheers folks

    N00b question

Well I thought I'd come straight out and ask. Whats the crack with 'Spektum' transmitters and stuff? I see a lot of people talking about them and mentioning them in their mod lists but never quite been able to work out what the score is with them. I hang my head...

    Vid Editing

So in English is there any free software I can download that will convert Quicktime vids into windows media vids? Once you've downloaded a vid from my camera to the pc you have to watch it using Quicktime, and to use Windows movie editor I'm pretty sure the vids need to be in windows media player format, or whatever you want to call it. Thats about as technical as I can get
  20. I think they'd still stick to the walls mate if thats anything to go by
  21. This was my old baby....
