  1. I'll be ordering one of these soon, can't fault the price for the features it gives. Seems to come with a full mounting kit too. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=87808 Cheaper one for those who don't care about 1080p 60fps: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=68620
  2. I noticed the x-maxx has totally disappeared from the modelsport site, did I miss something?
  3. Vote for the XT range for me, I have XT60's on my 2S batteries (usually used on my 1/10 vehicle) and XT90s on my 4S batteries. Deans might be the most common but its had its day and need to die, there are much better designed connectors out there now. Interesting vid on the connectors and the comment about the XT150 makes sense, problem is they are not readily available in the UK. Not even hobby king have them in the UK warehouse.
  4. I have a Turnigy TGY-1269HV in my savage, only ran it a couple of times but has plenty of power.
  5. Not sure what items you where looking at but I generally find them cheaper, my last 3 orders have been on average around £5 cheaper then modelsport, hence why I have shopped with them. Postage is also generally cheaper, hint hint modelsport lower your prices... However saying that my first order was in January which was fine, but my last 2 orders have been massively delayed being dispatched. Even if they have the parts in stock its usually been 2 full working days after ordering before they even dispatch and I've been waiting over a week for my "supplier stock" items to be dispatched and its still pending shipment as I type this. They need to get their act in gear. I certainly wont be ordering from them again.
  6. Have you seen this? Keeping a close eye on this, really want this truck but it does seem the diffs are the weak point.
  7. Looks good, Your rear hub link is wrong, links to the shocks again, copy/paste error? Might consider getting them shocks myself. Don't fancy the Innovative-RC tvps?
  8. The guys recommended this one for my hyper ss conversion, very pleased with it: http://www.funshobby.com/combo/power-combo/motor-combo/tenshock-x802v2-6-pole-brushless-motor-ezrun-max8-v3-150a-esc-waterproof-brushless-speed-controller-t-plug-for-buggy-competition-traxxas-cod-x802v2-max8.html Good price too, probably cheaper then even if you bought in the UK even if you do get hit with import tax. (I didn't)
  9. Ouch, this is seriously going to hurt competition in Europe especially where prices are concerned. This is grave news indeed. I'm glad someone bought them at least anyway.
  10. It's currently running the MachStar 28 out of my converted hyper but I am planning on getting the LRP 32 when I have some spare cash. What about the second question? Sintered or Machined? Sorry for bombing the thread
  11. My savage still has the old 43/13, is the 29/9 defiantly worth it? Just been looking at prices, whats the difference between these http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hpi-sintered-bulletproof-diff-bevel-gear-29t-9t-set/rc-car-products/363706 and these http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hpi-machined-bulletproof-diff-bevel-gear-29t-9t-set/rc-car-products/35325 Is it worth paying the extra? I already have IRC alloy diff cups.
  12. Its well worth getting the savage x towers and diff cases, they give you the easy access diffs, just a few screws and the front of the case comes off. Much better then taking the while thing apart TVPs and all just to get to the diffs.
  13. Yes as Ian said you would have to replace the crocodile clips, I put deans on mine but I'm slowly moving over to xt60/xt90. I've not seen one of these that comes with any other type of connector. It all depends if its worth the trouble for you, otherwise just get a high mah normal one.
  14. What you are looking for is one of these: http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/104834/ I got mine from Motorsport 2 years ago but they don't seem to sell them anymore. I never really used it much but be aware when using a lipo or similar it will put a higher current through the plug making it glow brighter then a normal glow starter which might make it start easier but it till reduce the life of the plug.
