  1. BUMP - Car is now ready to drift with electrics installed and tested. Price £300 all in. Plus new pictures added to eBay listing - if interested please call me on 07800 796 409 Justin http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331864522581?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  2. BUMP - Feel free to make an offer I want this gone. This lot cost me in excess of £600 all in, I think 275 is a fair price for the condition and run time that the car has seen. Would take £250 with FREE UK delivery!
  3. I got one of these after destroying a TT01 which I converted to long shock rally spec, its been great we race them on astro tracks and it jumps really well, amazing onroad but could benefit from the sway bar kit. This car is essentially a copy of the Xray TC2/3 range of on road TC. The belt is very vulnerable and depending the shell and how you drive gravel can and will get stuck under the rear drive pulley and destroy the belt (as it did to me last time I ran it, quite good fun as FWD too though lol), the answer was to replace the broken belt with the xray part which is much better quality, so far no problems. The motor is good but the ESC is rubbish, just not enough power to supply the motor properly, I swapped it for a spare 120amp esc and its like a different car now! upgraded the servo for quicker steering response which you need for this type of tail happy car especially on loose surfaces. I drive my cars pretty hard and its only been high speed crashes where I have broken anything, I have replaced x1 front wishbone, x1 rear hub and to be fair to it, they would have broken in those impacts on any model in the market so I cant really mark it down for that. I did start to make an overtray for it but not got around to finishing it off yet, I made waterproof boxes for the ESC and receiver and its endured some awful weather racing at A1. The front spool diff works wonders on wet astro
  4. I think it was 10/10/3. Only ran it twice then converted it to a 2wd SCT for my lad to race. ? Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
  5. I converted my old 410 to the SL and ran it on 4s at one round of the 8th Ebuggy Nats last season, carbon towers are a bad idea on a hard gravel track for 4s I did the battery tray mod and used foam blocks to offset 2x 2s packs on top of each other, you need the EB48 battery straps too.
  6. Tyres are the most important part by a long shot, that and the diff oil gets those right and the you dont really need to mess with the other stuff as much.
  7. It certainly is a good deal, I was the first SC racer to run the 410 in the UK 2years ago I was sponsored directly by Tekno in San Diego, now we are hooked up with RPRCDistribution we have great product support for all Tekno kits now. I see your up in the highlands, one of your members Rob Stephenson was hitting me up for tyre and shock tips recently, looks a cool little track you have up there
  8. SC5M is a good truck for 2wd racing as is the PR RACING 2wd SCT. I am thinking of converting the 2wd tekno back to 4wd so may get my lad another dedicated 2wd trucks instead and so far these are the hot ones on the list !
  9. Gutted to see you ended up with a blitz after reading through all this, Team Kirk had a used Tekno 410 for sale about the same time you started this thread, would have gone for about £320. That said having fun is what its all about at the end of the day and racing your mates is always the most fun part regardless of what kit your using Anyone need anything Tekno related just hit up Team Kirk RC on facebook
  10. My TEKNO SCT410.3 after its first UK Short Course Nationals Win this April Below is my old SCT410 which I have converted to a 2wd for my 7yr old to race with - goes very well too which surprised me
  11. BUMP - interested in a swap for an axial crawler/trail truck such as a wraith or scx10
  12. Ah well, I started with the Traxxas, great fun, but once you learn how to drive they beome irritating, hooning about is more fun with a truck that handles sweet
  13. FOR SALE or SWAP ? Selling up due to no time to use it, off road season is on us and soul stopped mid week late nights. There is a build thread on this forum somewhere and also a bit of info on my blog www.teamkirk.co.uk (hit End on your keyboard as the posts are at the bottom of the linked page) MST MS01-D built from a chassis kit, bodies, wheels, tyres and lipos. No electrics included but can negotiate separately. upgrades include 1:82 CS kit fitted Wide angle front drive shafts Alloy scale brake discs Alloy rear spool Alloy front one way diff Alloy mst upgrade dampers Pivot balls all round Alloy belt tensioner Loads of wheels 3 sets of soul rc legal drift tyres 1 set of outdoor drift tyres 1x S15 D1 shell in white with full light kit 1x 72 skyline Ken Mary shell with diy roll cage 1x real carbon spoiler with alloy mounts. Machined mst spur gear / plus kit spur 1x nanotech 5000mah 2s lipo 1x nanotech 6600mah 2s lipo All the original parts are with it, I have the original box. I can make this RTR (less a charger) for the right offer, I can also install your own electrics if required for a small fee, I am flexible and happy to discuss options. Only been used for around 10 sessions at soul rc indoor track since it was built so excellent condition. Well looked after, just needs the adjustable alloy body posts from soul rc as I used them on my rally car, if this is a deal breaker I can put them back on the drift car, but they are no longer mint as posts take some abuse in that car. Chassis is roller only NO ELECTRICS INCLUDED. but can be negotiated separately £275 or maybe swap? I miss my old SCX10, so I am open to trades on crawler/trail trucks CALL 07800 796 409 if interested as dont check the forums permanently
  14. Racers/bashers whatever, the Tekno SCT410 is the hardest 4wd SCT on the market in my opinion. I race and bash the crap out of mine and still got spares in packets after 2years as not needed them
  15. Makes sense, just thought I'd ask as it seems like loads of new models have been released recently. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
  16. I've been a member at silverstone for 2yrs and never seen one there, they'd have a job getting over the jumps. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
  17. Surely they run on the usual TC tracks? Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
  18. I have the Tekno trucks (410 and 410.3) both have been awesome, on track in the right hands there is very little difference in overall pace between the Losi and the Tekno, both could easily be setup to suit personal driving style and preference. Decent UK spares support is a must if your racing, DMS are very efficient and have good stock levels so its a no brainer really.
  19. To help with grip roll, get your tyres tuned a little, I did a little write up on it a while ago here. http://teamkirk.co.uk/ I have been racing the Tekno trucks since last season in the UK short course Nationals, awesome piece of kit.
  20. I have a nice Blitz ESE for sale - check it out. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331648480468?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  21. I seem to be seeing a lot of new F1 cars being released lately, is it starting to make a comeback? I am a short course off road racer but my local club is no longer running a heat for the trucks so I am looking at other options, I dont car much for the 10th buggies, I like RC cars to resembles things in real life. Any clubs in or around the Northants or surrounding areas run F1 cars??
  22. Booking I for the first round of the nationals also is open too
