Great day flying yesterday. Sadly my new fpv wing is now lost in the top of some trees. We’re pretty sure it’s dead too as there was some smoke (still couldn’t recover the air frame)
so so do I buy a
zohd dart
zohd dart xl
zohd orbit
its a tough one

Last day at this job! New one Monday.

i know exactly what you mean. my advice is (assuming windows) is powershell learn to script in powershell. i started by trying to do things i normally do through the gui and learning to do those in powershell then i started writing scripts to automate those tasks. now i more or less just live in a powershell window lol

im in a very similar boat, only going from IT support to server admin... nice pay rise too. the most annoying thing is they are making me work my notice so im stuck here till the 17th... cant wait to put an end to dealing with user support and put all my training and learning to use
congrats on the new job

hey guys, have already made a thread on which quadcopter but wanting to know which racing quadcopter to go for please? didnt want to make another thread. cheers guys

I flew a phantom for a year before getting my first fpv setup and I crashed and crashed and crashed. The quads with all the stabilisation modes and gps really lull you into a false sense of security.
If you check dronejunkyarduk on Facebook you can find a cheep 2nd hand transmitter and run up a sim for a few quid. If you go for a flysky transmitter you can get one second hand for about £30 and that will get you started.

Here’s a link to a UK vender for a wizard
https://www.quadcopters.co.uk/eachine-wizard-x220s-rtf-fpv-racing-drone
you will still need goggles and some decent props dal5045 or dal5046 would be a good choice
but a taranis or q7 and a sim would be a better start as you won’t need to spend money repairing your quad while you learn basic flight

Given you have no transmitter start with a decent transmitter. Then Download liftoff or velocidrone and get some practise. It’s nothing good like flying a machine with gps, rth etc.
as to other kit....
once you have a decent tx it’s up to you.
The time on a sim will save you a fortune as well in parts

When you get a out of the blue message from someone you haven’t spoken to for over 5 years asking “how are you” and “are you still a plumber” I know exactly where this conversation is leading
