All the drones have sensors that help them to stay level. I think the question is before you spend any money is what type of flying you want to do. Answer that and we can help to find the right thing for you.
Ok a stable tune means that it won’t oscillate and wobble like a drunk nun and basically be uncontrollable. Modern controllers don’t have separate leads for each channel like an Rc car. The signal is digital and carried by a single cable. Next question! lol /edit Just went and read my kk manual it does support sbus apparently. Not tested that but the manual says it does. I would seriously think about grabbing a newer flight controller matek make some great boards. Get something with an f4 processor. /edit 2 If you want some thing to take videos and photos from the sky and not really require any skill to fly then go with a dji If you want something you can do something more fun (yes I know that’s subjective) then go grab yourself something like a babyhawk r or a gtr 90
Well for the price you got a good deal. However the kk boards are near impossible to get a good stable tune on. Not to mention they don’t support sbus. So you will struggle to find a suitable tx/rx combo (flysky may do something that supports pwm rx’s) It should lift an action cam ok but you will probably want some sort of gimbal to mount it in so that you can actually point it at stuff. What kind of flying do you want to do?
I have/had one but never really understood it. He “charm” of the underpowered brushed motors just bugged me. I tried running bigger and better motors but still didn’t really get it. I have now handed my whoop over to a mate of mine who does get it and loves it so I will probably get some cash off him soon. /note to self time for a tbs crossfire
as i said, everyone is welcome. most of the guys run large scale but there are a number of other cars and scales that people run too. In fact the only class of stuff i cant remember seeing is crawlers. but even those would be most welcome
Goggles cost between £60-700 depending what you want. Personally I don’t rate walkeras stuff. For the same amount of money you can get a babyhawk r or a diatone gtr90 (the diatone is amazing)
I’m printing one at the moment. Or well have been when I have time to babysit the printer. Loads of designs on Thingiverse too. I have also seen one that looks like he enterprise
You can get the plugs to make them on eBay. I have had to replace so many balance plugs after prop strikes it’s unreal. So plugs and some cable. Jobs a goodun
Looks good! Make sure your vtx antenna and tx antenna’s point in different directions. I had an issue with one of mine with range because all my antennas were near each other and all sweeping the same way.
Why did you sand the frame? Given the single bottom plate design you can’t replace an arm when it snaps. So seems like a fair amount of work for not a lot of gain.
its been a while since i posted and i have a question...
i have some 5v servos that i am planning on running on 12v. my bench test shows the servos as working on my 3s lipo (its for a flying wing with inav) as im running my servos on vbat what are the chances that something terrible will happen? personally if they are working on the bench i cant see there being an issue when its flying but now im not so sure.
Has anyone done anything similar? if so what happened?
thanks
Links to both sims are below. Neither are expensive and will help no end with muscle memory (assuming you use a proper transmitter)
https://www.velocidrone.com/

I fly fpv only now. Sold up everything else. The wizard is a good starter setup. Bear in mind you will need to get some kind of fpv goggles or screen with a video rx to get the best from it. I can recommend giving the guys at Makeitbuildit a shout for some advice on exactly what to buy within your budget. Personally I would go and order a frsky q7 transmitter and get a copy of velocidrone or fpv free rider and fly in the sim before investing in a physical drone. It will help you no end in getting the muscle memory you need to fly in a nonstablised mode
Do you have a transmitter? If so then the emax babyhawk would be a good step. If you don’t have a transmitter then take a look at joshua Bardwell’s build lists
