  1. So I’m totally out of touch with RC shops, looking at a 1/10 MT is it best to shop in Germany? I don’t like the prices I see here in the UK!! Any recommendations? Possibly Granite 4x4 blx. I mean. £360 for a 1/10? Jeez!! Pretty sure my savage 3.5 was £250 new!!

No problem, i wouldn't have bought them either at that price. Just didn't know how urgently you needed it.

RC prices at present have become silly money 1/10th stuff is now the price of 1/8th stuff just a couple of years back ! I was paying £360 for a TT MT4 which would circles around these 1/10th rigs !   Sign of the times  I guess but you either have to be a hard core rc fan or just plain silly to pay if the prices nowadays which is kinda silly really as if things keep going down this route it will kill the hobby off. If you want a cheap basher Jim look at the Maverick mt or if you don’t mind 2wd look at the Corally range 👍

Probably gonna suck it up & go for the granite, my wife’s buying it for my birthday so it’ll be free anyway! Haha

  2. Looking at pulling the trigger on one of these? or is there better? now just to find stock.
  3. dammit Andy, I've only just sold an RC now this has me looking at the all over again!! looks great👌
  4. Element Rc Enduro Sendero 1/10 Trail Truck. Condition is Used. Bought at the beginning of lockdown, ran around the garden in the dry, upgraded the front & rear bumpers to vanquish as recommended on YouTube, a few scratches from use, see photos. Tape around the edge to protect the shell before I even used it, xt60 soldered onto esc. They say the best upgrade for one of these is a HW1080 esc as the stock is a bit snatchy, other than that, they are near perfect out of the box (apparently! Please do your own research!) Only selling as it’s sat here gathering dust for the last month looking pretty. Collection more than welcome & you can test it if you want. Guildford area. looking for £260 delivered. Any questions fire away, will be sent fully insured.
  5. I used mine once on 2s & then it’s since sat on the fridge! bought as an impulse buy from cabin fever I’m afraid!
  6. No! no need to register! thats the beauty of it, ive done my caa test but this doesn't need it all you need to do is stick to the rules, lots of people think as its under 250g that they can then fly anywhere, not so. read up, stick to the rules if anyone bugs you tell em to F off comfortably knowing your doing no wrong.
  7. https://www.tomtop.com/p-rm7718.html Wonder if I can squeeze that in there?
  8. ive owned the mini 8 & the lc racing & this isn't a patch on them, they are simply a cheap clone, noisy drivetrain, Phillips screws, etc, personally ill replace it with an LC racing buggy when I can afford one/source one. so yea I agree it'll not be as durable no way but £60 rtr with a Lipo & charger! super buggy for someone to get into the hobby, just not for us 'hobbyists' really, imo.
  9. definitely. it'll get one soon, ill just burn out what's in it first.
  10. Took it out for a quick blast on 2s while walking the mutt, handles nice enough, not fast enough for me & im a crap driver! quality is ok for the price, I mean it cost me £60 delivered! a bit of wobble on one of the wheels/driveshafts but for a cheapo car ill bang a 3s Lipo in it next then if it dies, ill grab a 3650 goolrc combo 7 wedge that in there!
  11. CEX is good too, I traded my wife's phone in & walked out with an xbox one & a load of games, plus it has a years warranty- only downside is they don't tend to clean them, they just test them, mine was manky AF. but very cheap with warranty can't be beat.
  12. As a novice myself (even though I've had the P2, P3S, Spark & CX20!) I love the fact that this is a far lower risk/cost to the mavic £800 plus drones I find I panic sometimes that makes me not enjoy flying & flying £1K above my head is just a no go! £369 is a fantastic price for these, so far ive used mine more than any of the other drones, except the cx-20 which got me hooked.
  13. Is it possible the hobbywing 1080 program port can power led headlights ?

  14. the Emb-1 rip off is here! looks great, for the money, not near the quality of lc racing or Losi but looks like it'll do a job! very weighty little thing.

I have a 959B but have yet to run it as I had to buy a replacement ESC for it. The parts are cheap. I hope you enjoy your newer model

  15. Can’t wait to get this up the road! (while I walk my dog...)

That Talion is a great find, I bet it goes for top dollar though..😉

@No brains sounds to me like you were unlucky enough to get a Friday build as they say..🤣

I find the worst problem with Arrma is we don't have the amazing HH warranty like the Americans..!!

We have to deal with LogicRC who to be honest are a bit hit and miss..😩🤔

As for breakages, lets be honest people everything breaks at some point in time..!!

I've actually broken more batteries than parts on my Granite/Senton. I did the usual Arrma upgrades to it.. Typhon 6s shocks, junk the radio, motor mount (but that's just because I wanted bigger pinion), Hex/axle extenders, RPM arms F&R......

Tx & Rx are not an issue, I still have dx4c in the shed & loads of rx spare! I do like the senton, but I now live opposite a green so maybe the granite would suit it better, I’m not interested in getting the quad charger out & going 6s like I used to with my 1/8 monster trucks, I just want to keep it simple & cheap hence the 3s. Thanks for all the opinions!

  17. I'm getting the rc bug once more...arrma typhon 3s v AE 10 MT v Absimia AT3.4 v hobbytech bxr mt

well dan, the arrma granite seems a little overpriced if im honest, all are max £250 then the granite blows that at £330!

I Kinda like the idea of a little buggy too!

    3. Oh How Original

      Oh How Original

I would go Arrma then, bare in mind the Arrma stuff is tough, especially the 3s line, it seems to be the toughest of the lot right from the box, so don't be put off at spending a little more for the Granite.
