The genuine ones to have the SJCAM name on them in the lower right of the front. There are a lot of copies that just sat SJ4000.

Ad above it needs to say sjcam in the lower right corner..iI debated the sj and gopro I brought the gopro but now wish I brought the sjcam. Since either would have had little use and provided the same quality. There's some great footage from the sjcams.

  2. Thanks for your help Jony, but Vr5fx has sorted me out now
  3. Ah ok, i'll have to thing about it, really I'm looking at a 450 quad tbh. Thanks anyway
  4. I am looking at building a 450 quad, using the Hobbyking Q450 V3 Frame. However I want this to be a budget (under 120 pounds), but capable, and the 2830-11 1000kv motors are a bit steep at around 30 pounds for a set of 4. So I am looking for 4x 28 sized 950-1200kv outrunner motors for the quad. (I want to swing 10x4 props on 3S 2200mah) Any motors considered, and I want to pay as little as possible.
  5. Would the quad be considered PNF? Does it just need a RX & TX?
  6. Shoo goo is a great idea, didn't think of that, will see what I can do. I have already used a lot of elastic bands, so a good alternative needs to be found. Bungee cords should work, as long as they aren't too thick. The scoops are the large ones from this set: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__65431__NACA_Style_Inlet_Duct_Set_UK_Warehouse_.html Cut and painted.
  7. If your bored of the SC look on your Blitz, then it takes only a few parts to turn it into a great looking desert buggy, I first got the inspiration from MMC3's DB Blitz, so it really is his project. Anyway onto the build. The parts you will actually need to buy are a Blitz underbody, and a 1:10 DB cage. The parts I used: JConcepts Overtray - http://www.rcmart.com/jconcepts-2057-overtray-blitz-p-31735.html Turnigy Desert Buggy Cage - http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__21069__Roll_Cage_Roof_Window_Screen_Set_1_10_Brushless_2WD_Desert_Racing_Buggy.html First of all you need to cut out the underbody, and paint it to your liking. Once you've done that, you need to assemble the cage. Hobbyking provide no instructions with theirs, but simply put, fit the flat piece to the long arms with the 4 screws, then glue the mesh 'windows' into the grooves on bottom of the arms. Then your done with the cage. Its difficult for me to show you how to do it as mine is finished, but i'll try my best. Fit the cage over the underbody, until the mesh windows are resting on the underbody. Glue or zip tie the cage into place, the cut the arms to fit flush with the back of the body, and the front to where the body starts to widen. This is the first and only one I have done, so it looks terrible, with failed glue attempts all over. It also has drill holes all over to try and cool the ESC inside, but more on that later. Once done it should look like this - The way I have attached the cage, Excuse the AWFUL hole to the right, but it is a work in progress! Now its on to the fitment of underbody to car. You need an extra body post for this bit, but it doesn't matter the size length or anything, as long as it isn't wider than the brace going over the steering servo. Cut a body post down to about 1 1/2", and cut it at a very slight angle. Drill a hole in the middle of the body post, and in the middle of the brace over the servo. Using a screw, tighten the post onto the brace. Drill another hole near the top of the post for a body pin to go through. It should look like this: Now excuse the bodged waterproofing, and the large cross head screw Last is the fitting of the rear of the body to the car. Drill a hole through the chassis just behind the receiver box and the ESC, and put a bolt through, with a bit of glue/thread-lock. Then replicate on the body, except put a nut on the bolt. Then use elastic bands the hook over the 2 nuts and its fitted! Its very bodged and a bit rough, but it works for now. If need be, you can cut a hole/square into the front of the body and use a scoop to bring air inside to stop over heating. And that's it! I will do a better thread if I ever come round to doing it all over again (quite likely).
  8. As title, any condition considered, and if you have any gearbox parts don't hesitate to get in touch. I need essentially the whole gearbox/diff, so any parts will be helpful. Thanks, Joe
  9. I've got some track mats, a bit of rolling stock, a couple of controllers and some scenery. I've got no locomotives though, and don't have any track. PM for details, should be able to make a deal if interested.
  10. Best place to buy a Tenshock SC401 V2 3800kv?

  11. Easy enough. I used these http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__21069__Roll_Cage_Roof_Window_Screen_Set_1_10_Brushless_2WD_Desert_Racing_Buggy.html and http://www.rcmart.com/jconcepts-2057-overtray-blitz-p-31735.html Glue/zip tie the cage onto the top of the tray and trim excess plastic. A vent is also recommended so your ESC doesn't boil! You also need to cut down an old body post, and stick/screw it onto the bar across the servo, and drill a hole in the tray to fit. I can do a thread on it tomorrow if you like.
  12. Not really a short course anymore, but its still a Blitz.
  13. You can't go wrong with a Firestorm/Blitz. The Blitz is the same car and electronics, just a longer chassis(few other small changes) and a short course body. Blitz can be more durable as the body takes most of the brunt, saving the plastic underneath. However the Blitz is a little more expensive.

      Crew no doubt.

It has its bugs or did at release but damn some of the races are epic. Takes over an hour and you drive all over the country. Through swamps of the south up freeways around alaskas snow mountains then through the desserts. The custom side is immense. I haven't played mine for awhile but will do now you've reminded me I have it. Hopefully the bugs are fixed. It was only

  16. I want a 450 as I would like something that can carry bigger things, for example better cameras. I will probably build my own, seems I will get a better spec for the price. Why are the 250s more fun than the 450 may I ask?
  17. Peoples thoughts? I was thinking of buying parts from Hobbyking and building my own 450 quad (Adds up to about
  18. Another LiPo question. I crashed my heli in a fresh water river yesterday, and the LiPo was sat plugged in an on in the heli fro about 15 mins. Once it was retrieved, the LiPo was unplugged and left to dry. Will it be ok to charge again?
