  2. Hi I'm just in the process of deciding on a Truggy and was wondering if anyone one here lives/bashes around the North Tyneside area and could share their knowledge on any good spots? Cheers
  3. Ha! Nice one. An old school method of over coming midern electronics! Cheers Folks!
  4. Cheers for your input people, much appreciated! I shall let you all know what I buy. one last newbie question. Is there any way you can restrict either brushed or brushless car so it doesn't go as fast. Then as the operators skill develops remove or reduce that restriction? Say for example not allow them to use as much throttle?? Cheers
  5. Thanks again guys!! So that would be this one? http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hpi-e-firestorm-10t-rtr-2.4ghz/rc-car-products/380330 For
  6. Hi Turuk Sorry I dont understand?? Is that for upgrading or reliability issues. You didn't give details and im new to all this!
  7. Hi Everclear. Thanks for your input. I looked (on the web) at the firestorm and other Hpi stuff. That combined with Traxxas gear has made it a bit difficult in choosing! Hence I'm here! Is there much difference between HPI FTX Traxxas In quality, durability and spares Cost/availability? Cheers Guy
  8. Hi all. 1st post!! Not owened a an rc car since the original XR 311 when I was kid! All I remember was it seemed to bottom out a lot and it snapped a torsion/suspension arm and I lost interest in it. Anyway I digress. I am looking to get back into the hobby. My daughter is 7 and and I want something we can both do that doesnt involve dolls or pink stuff!! Although the Tamiya Pink Neo Scorcher looks nice!! Anyway I would like peoples thoughts on the ideal RTR complete starter package in 1/10 scale. I sarted off looking at the FTX Edge because a friend at work has a couple for him and his son and footage on his fone looks mint! Then after doing a bit of research I thought about getting a Truggy for general bashing and learning the craft. That way the daughter could use this entry level car if/when I move on to a buggy I could maybe indoor race (there appears to be a few clubs based in tyneside). So to recap. I want to initally spend between 80 and 150 on a recreational RC Buggy/Truggy thats good to learn with and that my daughter could use without it being initially too fast! I am currently leaning towards a brushed FTX Carnage and a few spare batteries. ..but only because I dont know any better!! I look forward to your input! Cheers Guy
