    Headover to candlepower fourms...Its the highend world of torches, in there eyes that would be considerd toygrade...and very dim...ahahah. Dont say I did not warn you though...once you see beamshots of led lights with mile long ranges...and thats handheld easily...its an expensive intrest....

    First off, Sorry mods you will have to move this as was going to post in Air section but we dont have a genral air only model spersific...unless I over looked it. So I am after a cheap radio for phonix, i dont mind if I cant use it for real world, just any cheap radio of hobby king ect that will work...but I dont know which ones will and wont work and there are so many lol. I understand I need 5 channels and a comoatible trainer port, As said sole use is phonix so dont evan care if it cant actually transmit anything lol budget ia max

    Why are British gas so hard to get hold of...Got a leaky celing due to heating but only nombers I can find are daytime or emaegancy gas line....FFS.

    This is gonna sound dumb, but any tips not to eat... Hardest part is fighting the temptation to eat as I just like it...maby I have a problem, evan if Im not hungry, in fact the more I eat the more I want to eat. Here is the funny thing thogh, If I am NOT hungry it dosent bother me and I wont eat as it helps me fight it...the hunger is a good thing to me and helps me!!! (Untill i have to eat if Im feeling low blood sugar symptoms ect...but then im back to eating tons...) No sweets or treats in my house and I dont have the cash to eat out...most my calories come from carbs or dinner...my mum cooks a healthy balanced dinner but portion size is out of controll and she wont listen and if its on the plate Ill eat it... Currently trying to cut out bread (doable) rice (easy as not a huge fan) but pasta, potato and noodles is the hard part... Oh and Im the fattest kid I know ahha, 19YO 5'8" 38"Waist. (For real as I hang out with cyclists / racers (skinny) and also a lot at the gym with bodybuilders as my mate owns it)

    I dont mind a seprate PSU but inbuilt would be better, my main thing is I am not intrested in parrele chargeing id rather have seprate channels.

    New soldering iron is got a steady stream of smoke from bottem of the handle whare the iron comes out...never used first warmup, is this normal or should I return it? Looking online this might be normal???

      Im one of the people that believe in bad luck :( infact today i got up to find the dryer hadn't turned itself on to dry mine and the kids clothes for this morning then realised one of car tyres is flat then theres a crash on the school run route then come home and have to park at bottom of street cos some tit parked in my bay so yeah bad day so far and its only 9:30

      didnt take mine earlier either but both orders have been dispatched once dispatch was confirmed i kindlly sent a nice email to dennis saying how thankful i was for his freebies it was very much appreciated could they charge me the money and he said no issues occasionally happen with our system like this as they have been dispatch keep them as a kind gift lol

    LOL - Lipos come out of my 350QX (forced landing by built in LVC) at 3.6V no load - shame flight time left but means I don't have to bother storage charging XD!

      Haveing said that I doubt there would be much runtime left maby 2 or 3 mins and it would likely have no "punch" left, so properly a good cut off voltage in hindsight.

    Oh I thoughts at 6Amps would be 2C so about double what Im currently getting from my cheap included charger...plus Id be doing two batterys at 2C. I must have got my calculations wrong I assumed this would still be a big upgrade iver what I have. I Guess Ill save up for a whole and use what I have for noe and then get a really good charger. I can certainly aee how a good quality powerfull charger can make the hobby much more olesureable and safer / keep your batterys in better condition.

    OK so thanks everyone for your help, I think I have come to the conclusion that I want a dual charger over parallel charging so I can do two different packs at the same time if I desire. So just looking around I see this and it comes with leads for my current packs also. http://www.horizonhobby.com/prophet-sport-duo-50wx2-ac-battery-charger-dync2020 Is there anything better at the same or lower price point and is there any reason not to get that?

    WHOOPS! Shorted a lipo soldering new conectors, only a milisecond (Sparks) no puffing though and looks ok so will keep an eye on it but should be perfectly fine Id imagine...so who elase has done this before, noob mistake I know...I evan use a Eband to stop this happning...but was just checking lead lenth was the same hahah #Scary!

      Yup! First attempt at soldering XD I stupidly was doing it on metal mess tins (What was i thinking!!!) got a heck of a scare but lesson learned ??.

      Useing one of those self healing matts now though...certainly need more practice at it :( got there in the end.

      One of the pins has a slight "chunk" missing whare it shorted out but it still makes contact so will leave it be untill or if it fails.

      I was putting some EC5 connectors on a 5s lipo - I was using a knife to cut through wire casing and somehow managed to short it - vaporised the tip of the knife and scared the bejesus out of me! The lipo also has a weaker cell now :/

    Just FYI the batterys in electronic gadets almost always have some kind of protection built in, secondly they are not being Charged at 1C+ and discharged at insane rates and thirdly...there NOT lipos, there lions (Lipo is a from of Lion though just as Life, Limn are and others. Lipo chemistry is slightly less stable and less power dense but far better proformance. A 4S 3600mah lion pack made from 18650 size cells would be about half the size of a lipo one... No need to treat yhem like a bomb but you cant treat them the same as a lion as while simular they are not the same. Dont qoute me though i may be wrong and aint no expert...but thats how i understand it...?! Anyway chargeing out side at the field is fine but use them or lower the voltage before bringing inside as V will go up as said The helicopter guys often charge only at the field useing very powerfull charges and deep cycle batterys. 6-12s (or more) 5000-10000+mah...
