I've said about the galaxy not posting links for awhile I'm not sure if it's the forum or my phones. 

Depends how fussy you are about the finish, ie.smooth and how robust you want it.  If you are using water based over oil then recommend you sand first, otherwise it can flake off. Water based dont yellow like oil over time. You usually get a better finish with proper preparation, the 7 Ps come to mind.

If the old paint is gloss the windows will need a rub down before any paint is used otherwise it will just come off easily.

I wounldn't use gloss as its a pain to get it right plus it can leave drips if you dont brush it out properly and normally requires a undercoat.  I would use either Bedec Mutli Surface paint or Johnsons Acrylic Satin both are water based paints, so its easier to use and to wash out brushes etc.

I got my brushed Carnage that day at the shop. Love it. I've got an interview on Weds, if I get the job there'll be an order going in to Otley for a BL Carnage, LiPos/charger etc with my first pay packet.

i have found on my travels a few 1:16th scale toys that could be used as hard bodys, very nice detailing to. seen discovery 90's and also ford transits, mack trucks , man trucks etc etc

Most people who go for ultra scale looks like that don't like to risk ruining the bodies because most of them are scratch built and sadly, they never see the light of day.

Nick it won't be as capable as say an SCX10 as it's on leafs not coils but mines going under a scratchbuilt Land Rover 101 body which had leafs so is perfect for that. it's unlikely we'll get done tbh AJ I've always been fine from them.
