  1. They are all good options, I would say the best bang for buck is by a long way the Senton though. As James has said, mine gets abused, it's broke quite minimal stuff really, especially in comparison to some other models that have had a lot less abuse and have snapped in two If you aren't 100% set on the SCT range, then consider the Arrma Typhon 3s, it's a Senton based buggy basically, will handle speed a bit better because SCTs have a parachute effect on the bodies, even the most 'advanced' bodies do, I've tried them all pretty much, none really reduce the parachute effect. I love my Typhon 🙂
  2. Any chance you could measure eye to eye please? I know they are for the Slash, but just wondering if they'd go on my Typhon.
  3. I know Raj aye, it's not him, I am sure this lad was called Raz. I know Raj, he had a GTR when they first came out. The blue Losi was called Joker
  4. Is that the guy who bought the Joker? I'm not sure it's the same guy actually. I used to send my stuff to someone else, who sent it to someone called Raz (I think) who was a local guy who did really nice anodising for peanuts. This is going back 5 years now
  5. They do handle really nicely actually, it surprised me!
  6. Ahhh glad you're still in touch with Paul and Lea at least. I was trying to contact Raz about some anodising, but don't have his contact info anymore.
  7. You still hear off any of the old lads bud? Would be good to be in touch with some of them. @spents is on this forum from time to time 😄
  8. Very nice mate, I recently sold my '17 Street Triple 765r.
  9. I am fairly into my Arrmas, but just bought a mountain bike... Another expensive hobby, first bike, 2 grand
  10. I recognise the name anywhere, I believe it was you who got me into ModifiedRC rear chassis' for the Bajas bloody hell, my memory is working well today. Pretty good ta buddy, how's you?
  11. Your username looks familiar, were you a member of B.F.U.K years ago?
  12. Well, that's the most expensive purchase I've made in a long time and it's not even an RC.

Amazing how far a £700 budget goes these days... 😆

To be honest £4m doesn't even get you that much house in certain parts of London, so for £400k you're doing very well.

@bertberr - it's when you have a girlfriend who tells you to buy the one you actually want

    4. Gaz!

      Gaz!

Just wait until you buy your first house or car, it really hits home....

can’t fault you getting the “one” you wanted though, horrible knowing you should have gone for “x” but at the time, made do with “y”

I honestly thought you have got a mortgage though mate when I read it first lol.

  13. Who are local to me bud? I've got some shorts, I've got some gloves, some five10s and I did buy a 'regular' bicycle helmet. But since ordering a much more capable bike than I was first looking at, I think I need to go full face right from the off. I am used to a full face helmet on the motorbikes, but I can't decide which one, I don't have an unlimited budget since I spent so much on the bike itself. And I know from history in the motorbike world, you can only pay for so much, after that you're paying for the name.
  14. I've ordered a 2021 Orange Crush Comp 27.5.
  15. That would be excellent. It sort of reminds me of when I believe it was Bez who started a £100 budget speed runners thread. That's back when everyone was attending ROSSA though.
  16. It seems to have gathered a little following and two people have bought Tamiyas to make into speed cars because of it, which is really awesome. A good sense of community back in the hobby.
  17. I think we should really start a thread dedicated to our budget versions of speed runners. If I don't count the bodyshells and mounts I've smashed, my DT-02 is fairly budget friendly, sub £200 anyway I think.
  18. Well, I won't ever recommend Barclaycard to anyone again.

So, I used to frequent a website, I bought something a couple of times via them, digital goods, not physical.

I have just noticed they have continued to help themselves to my credit card balance to the sum of £330 over the last month, I don't check my balance that regularly unless I am paying something off it.

Contacted Barclaycard and they won't help me, because I have no evidence that I cancelled a subscription, even though I've explained it's not a subscription, they are simply fraudulently using my details.

Time to cancel it and look elsewhere, what other credit cards do folk recommend?

I'm the same, I use them mostly for my credit rating tbh, I wish I'd seen these transactions sooner though.

Had issues with Barclaycard before over a flight that got cancelled by the airline and they wouldn't refund me the money, even though the flight was still valid and shouldn't have been cancelled.

  19. Kraton is sold, prices dropped on the electrics.
  20. I've converted to 17mm hex on my 3s Senton, so I can run Nanda Blocks and other options of 17mm hex buggy wheels. Much more aggressive tread pattern, stronger wheels and much better grip. I've run most of the Fastrax stuff, I don't rate them very highly, either the hexes round out or the tyres blow off, I've got a few random ones in my 'you never know' RC spares bin.
  21. I knew I had the box for the Max8 combo somewhere, here it is.
  22. @PraetoR loves using his Lunchbox with his girlfriend. A Lunchbox on it's own I don't think would be as fun. I typically didn't use my DT-02 solo until I turned it into a speed car. I like the community, I met my late friend Ray through RC, he was my best buddy for several years :)
