  1. BT are unbelieveable.

I pay £50/m for our internet and phone with free weekend calls.

They actually put it up by £2.49 a couple of months ago.

Now I am switching with EE, they've called me today offering me a better deal for £29/m, I said to the woman on the phone I'm not at all happy about the fact they can offer me it so cheap yet they are happy to take £50/m off me, then actually increase the bloody price.

Still going with EE, even if it is £4/m more, purely on principle that BT are a bunch of robbing crooks and that was the last nail in the coffin.

I'll never forget when EE told me I used up my loyalty benefits 2yrs previous. Well what about the last 2 yrs? No sir, you were getting loyalty benefits during those so it doesnt count. What?

It's the same routine as insurance companies....

One price for exisitng customers, and a better deal to hook in new business. When you cancel...they can go to the new business price as you technically left.

Why the hell they don;t just stop being stupid and offer the best deal they can to secure business I will never know.

And yes..I have ditched insurance companies and had them then offer to better the quote. But.,,..the letter said that was your best price I will point out. Whatever they say next makes them either liars or crooks.... You can have some real fun with them when you have decided not to give them your business.

I don't really understand how they charge so much having worked in the industry for years knowing how much even a 3rd party supplier buys in the service for.

Just to give you an idea we pay £7.50 line rental on our PSTN lines here (normal phone lines) I know the company I get them from buys it in from BT Wholesale at £5pcm so work that out

It doesn't cost them this much to run it half the time the profit margin is up to about 80%

Its wrong that he average consumer has to pay so much.

I am currently with sky I pay about £65 a month that includes phone broadband(fibre)  sky (not sports or movies)

Every time the discount comes to an end I leave them and then they offer a rejoin deal of about 35% less it suits me.

I just don't understand why they don't just work harder on retaining customers with out all the faff of offering a better deal after you said your leaving?

Surely your profit margin would increase with less admin?

Oh yes wait we live in a capitalist society where greed rules!

I am currently in the process of working how to get a village lease line installed and renting that out!
