  1. I really only need the motor mount, but complete kits considered. Paypal funds waiting. Doesn't need to be cosmetically perfect, DOES have to be in good usable condition.
  2. Try using AVG PC-Tuneup - I can't advise you to download a torrent of it with a serial number included for free - that would be wrong. The product is superb, and has put a zip back into several computers for me.
  3. "the DOKYO drifting motor series utilizes a special intercooling fan rotor that generates a simulated drift sound" I'm sure it's a good motor, but for some reason I'm reminded of sticking playing cards on my bicycle when I was 7 so they clacked through the spokes and made a sort-of engine noise...
  4. is 2wd, does nothing that has not been done already, brings nothing new. Can keep,
  5. what are you looking for, mate? Please pm. I'd love to know where you got those tyres, as they're not tamiya lunchbox originals.
  6. It looks like someone's taken a bat to it at the end of the production line.
  7. The big problem with audio is that it's a very personal thing - what sounds great to you may well sound atrocious to someone else. Recently in the under
  8. I'm glad it's not just me with the name.... "Arrrr.... Boner!"
  9. yeah, tamiya may be launching a "Black Edition" lunchbox

    We're Back!

Good to see the forum back up - must have been a right pain if it took you this long
  12. Hi Mate, could you think about a package deal of electronics to go into a roller please? Servo+esc+motor would be a good place to start I reckon. Nexx8 is a belter, btw - if only I had the funds
  13. I'm sorry to hijack, but I've got some 7mm CF/Kevlar sheet on the way, and someone who can CNC it for me - does anyone know of anywhere on the www that has cad drawings for hyper7 towers? I need 1 x front and 2 x rear for a 6x6 project Thanks for any help or information you can give me.
  14. Actually, if you look at the ebay ad properly, they're NOT the same. The Ebay ad version has a manual 5-way controller, no usb interface.
  15. They are standard towers - the standard ones came in at least three different colours - black, gold and a kind of wierd blueyblack anodised finish. I think there may have been silver as well, for a very short while. To be honest, don't worry too much about the shocks - spend money on what breaks when you break it. Get the tank guard/inline filter mount would be an idea. My hyper builds are all brushless, so I've got a later tank here (door opens sideways, a bit more convenient), tank guard, inline filter, some fuel line, and I think some standard chassis braces, in either polished or anodised black finish. Don't have any second hand cnc knuckles spare - the two sets I have are going on cars. Are there bolt points still in place on the chassis for the shock braces? If so, I can do you a cheap deal on some bits. The reason for using CNC knuckles where possible is that they're a LOT stronger. I've got a spare pair of standard ones here I could let go cheap as well - if you've got the bucks to get cnc straight away it's prob a better idea though. Another popular upgrade is to universal joint type driveshafts rather than dogbones.
  16. It's an ST or ST Pro, and whoever sold you that (or someone before them) has missed out putting back the chassis braces - lovely work! They're about a fiver for standard ones (pair) off evilbay, or for full alloy pay up to
  17. For shocks and springs, the Hong Nor big bores ARE good - as are the Hyper Star ones - which are starting to come through on Ebay slowly. For a bargain though, every now and then the XRAY 808b (I think it's b!) shocks go through ebay painfully cheaply, and they're lovely. I got a set of Kyosho big bore for my next project second-hand as part of a package of parts. CNC knuckles are a great idea, as are upgraded towers - what I've done on one of the hypers I'm building is to modify a pair of towers so I can have them doubled up at both ends - front end's easy - you just have to carefully drill holes so the hinge pin can be pushed out without having to undo the towers. On the back end, you have to cut the second tower to allow the mounts for the spoiler to be pushed through then bolted to the original tower. If you're gonna be giving it that much welly that you need big bores, consider cnc chassis braces if not already fitted. If you don't have them already, an upgrade to tq or tq2 shocks (check hyperhale on Ebay) is a good, cheap idea.
  18. The rear chassis brace looks more like Hyper ST, apart from that you've got (All hyper 7) a standard rear shock tower, a standard front shock tower, two torque braces (one with body mount), a servo tray, and I think an early tank (later ones open to the side, iirc). The shocks look to be pre tq-spec rears.
  19. Yep what do you want to know about the parts?
  20. So those screws replace the hinge pins in front and rear suspension on the hyper 7? If that's correct, I'll take these please. Please PM paypal details.
