  1. I do run a few fans but there not to mask but to aid, when I start finding a suitable gearing I don’t use any once I’m at the point that I’ve found the sweet spot I’ll add the fans. The trouble with gearing and what’s right and wrong is no one runs the same or runs the same terrain. I generally bash in the same sort of spots so the need to change is not needed unless the ambient temp gets warmer than when I set it up to begin with You need to find what suits you the terrain you run in and your style of bashing. Far to many folks just follow other folks recommendations to find it’s too high so mask the issue with fans which then leads to other issues. Personally I find a max 6 is on its limits in the X Maxx yes it will do the job but your running it at full beans which of coarse will add to high temps. There’s loads of good vids on YouTube that will explain amp draw wattage drain and so on far better than I can which are worth a watch if you want to understand how motors, esc and lipos etc work and what can cause issues Sorry if I came over a bit like a bear with a soar head that was not my intention
  2. lol fans only mask the problem your gearing is too high for what your doing with it just drop the gearing. A max 5 is a better option but then your bump the gearing higher and run into motor issues. No one cares nowadays they just add fans then cry a month or so later they puffed there lipos or it caught fire. Too many Facebook engineers that know nothing other than to sell you there latest cheap computer fan pile of rubbish at stupid prices.
  3. Ratcheting screwdriver 😂😂. Just think in another 20years they might figure out an electric one !
  4. Lol what about the outcast that’s just Kraton arms on a typhoon chassis . It’s common practice for companies to use there parts over multiple vehicles. What got me was this isn’t there design nor was the outcast they where both made up by there so called test dummies 😂. Bit like the 4s range which started live as a buggy hybrid mind you that did get a plastic chassis makeover oh and plastic gears 😂
  5. It’s a Kraton with a Mojave chassis which makes it a bit longer the Kraton and wider than the Mojave that’s it if you want one buy the exb Kraton 6s and a exb Mojave chassis and center bits from Jenny’s 👍
  6. Well it’s been fun but time to sell up keep an eye on the sales thread as everything has to go 👍

Sounds interesting.  Perhaps you'd like to practice on my old MG Midget? 😁

  7. I think your gonna be the only one on here buying one
  8. I’m a bit of a FTX fan with there chip and cheerful attitude but this is a step too far on the cheap and not so cheap at that 🤮
  9. It’s all on Traxxas nothing to do with the stores it’s the agreement they are made to abide by if you want to be a Traxxas retailer. It’s to make you go in store so they can push the lipos and chargers on you. Good old Traxxas 👍
  10. Let’s be honest going up a tenner isn’t the end of the world as it’s already £150 over priced 😂😂😂 Rc prices are like 1-1 prices now stupid crazy, think it’s time to sell up and find something else to do
  11. So it’s finally hit the shelves in the states and so far everyone seems to like it but I think the main issue is the diffs need oil and the tyres balloon too much other that that all seems good
  12. I’d happily have but I can’t justify the price of it, I think that’s the general consensus
  13. Trouble is for plastic to work you’d need to honeycomb it but then it would have a hcg hence the flatpan aluminium one. Thing is truggys are more meant for race tracks etc rather than a backyard basher which in turn bends the chassis but then that’s what folks want to use it for and don’t give a thought to what it’s really meant for. Your never gonna win whatever way you go super strong chassis snap arms etc flexible chassis bends what’s funny is though you don’t see the race guys complaining only the backyard basher guys
  14. I can’t understand why anyone would buy it to be honest. You could buy a New Corally Roller £405 and kit it out for the same money but end up with a top notch truggy instead of a run of the mill rtr Or there’s the New Associated MT8 due in end of the month at £449 that’s £300 cheaper 😂😂 So how can anyone justify the price ? Your simply paying for a name nothing more
  15. The only ones mad enough to buy this are the fan boys are the mentally insane. $799 will no doubt come here at between £720 -£820 and let’s be honest for a basic 1/8th RTR truggy you’d need to be one of the above to buy it. It looks good the promo is good but then again Traxxas always nail that but price wise sorry it’s way overpriced. If it comes in cheaper and more in line with its competitors offerings then it might be worth a punt
  16. Did I just read that right ONLY 15 members online ! Wow things have certainly got quite on here lately

  18. Did You buy the one of eBay in blue ? I was looking at that but when I enquired he wanted £330 without the radio gear so didn’t bother even putting a bid on lol
  19. Not bad trucks but be warned the shock towers are trash. Think it was why folks never really got on with them it’s just poor quality metal plus sct love to parachute so that don’t help
  20. Going to sell my 8s exb but where ? Forum seems quite eBay is a joke with fees and Facebook is a minefield of jokers ! Not sure on price either any thoughts guys ?

It’s an awesome rc but not been used since I got the outcast exb it’s just sat there getting dusty for months now. I think the rc bug has finally come to an end as I’m thinking of selling the lot tbh

If it were me, I'd just put it all on here, as well as FB & gumtree, you're only increasing your potential buyer pool, not as if it costs anything.

      Nomsicle

There's a FB group called "uk rc bootsale" that's very active, probably have a good chance there.

  21. Only trouble is now if you bust an arm or a driveshaft your be ordering from Germany or going back to stock. Few guys on fb have broke these already so I wish you luck
  22. Very nice what’s the weight like compared to the stock ones ?
  23. Try here they might have something you like https://www.rcmodelz.co.uk/wheels-tyres.html
  24. That’s them out then. No point buying something that’s gonna rip just like the stockers might as well just invest in superglue 😂😂😂
