  1. That's all good as I threw mine in the bin already!! Nice one, my escape was pretty good till I got it hot and wet and it died
  2. I may have one of those photon program cards, I'll check my bin later and see if I have already chucked it or not!
  3. I have an 8ight T 1.0 coming up for sale, I've been running it brushless for about 6 months now and it's great! I need the Conversion kit out of it for my new truggy, but I want around 100 for the truggy roller, then I might be able to supply a conversion kit aswell but they are about 80!
  4. I have got a losi 8ight T 1.0 that I could sell ready for brushless, I'm looking for 100 for the roller with no Conversion kit, I'll see if my mate still has a conversion kit for sale but that's an extra 80 I think, plus postage if your not local to Milton Keynes!
  5. No worries! Just go easy on the standard screws as they are made of cheese!
  6. If you want a stainless steel screw set for it I can do you a deal on a cheap one still got bolts left over from the last kits I sold!
  7. https://wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/280319/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwtZzWBRD2ARIsAIPenY3RGzRGS3CHe5-GSEFzfmzcE94K02Mr9AwVfeZ00744u2CXYmnyE44aAvU2EALw_wcB Looks about right!!
  8. What part of the engine hits it? I know you need to use a differnt engine mount for pull start motors, they are taller!
  9. Got the 3.0 basically converted into brushless Rebuilt all the diffs, cleaned everything up, rebuilt the shocks, just waiting for some new springs and shock bushes to arrive and then chassis is done! Then really need to get on and get the bodyshell cut and painted for it!! 20180401_181617 by ben hawkes, on Flickr 20180401_223435 by ben hawkes, on Flickr 20180401_223452 by ben hawkes, on Flickr 20180401_223500 by ben hawkes, on Flickr 20180401_223509 by ben hawkes, on Flickr 20180402_110334 by ben hawkes, on Flickr
  10. Friend of mine is selling a mint looking spektrum dx3s with rx for £60
  11. So I have picked up this evening a bargain Hauler bag I have wanted one for years so chuffed to have one finally! be good to get all the tools and spares in one box!! Ive also already sold my old 2.0eu, as a nitro roller so I need to put it all back with spares in the garage!! then I can start work converting the 3.0 to brushless and get that running properly!! Cant wait to get these down the track!!
  12. So a few more to add to the fleet!!! Just picked up a 2.0 in many peices 20180323_155624 by ben hawkes, on Flickr A 2.0eu which is basically complete! 20180323_155628 by ben hawkes, on Flickr And a 3.0 which is complete!! 20180323_154044 by ben hawkes, on Flickr Need to get some work done!!!
  13. I have a friend who did exactly that, it needs slightly differnt wheels I think but it looks great, and will have all the strength and reliability of an 8ight which will be great!!
  14. took the fleet up to NDOR at the weekend! finally get to test out the truggy properly and see if the esc and RX are behaving better!! I managed half a lap with the truggy before it threw a pin and the pin holder out of the front drive shaft!! luckily I have some pretty thick oil in my centre diff so i managed to limp it back to the pits before putting that straight back in the car!! so then out came the buggy, whicch I didnt want to run too much as it was a bit wet and I was worried about the new GoolRC esc getting wet!! I ran 3 lipo packs through it and it was faultless!! Had a bit of a hard time as this was my first time at NDOR, and I thought it was a mixed dirt track, so I only took dirt tyres, but it still drove well and the buggy ran lovely!! Everything did get a bit wet though so I have decided to treat all the electrics with some corrosion X so hopfully should be alright from now on!! Video incomming!
  15. Yer that's what I sort of meant! Should I hang it with open connectors hanging down so it can empty out, such as receivers? I assume then it will just leave a coating on all the pcb in side which is more of the plan? Ta!
  16. I've bought myself a little bottle of corrosion x to try, turned up yesterday so hopfully get some stuff dipped this evening and leave it to dry! I'm not going to be doing any underwater driving, but will be nice to know its safe to run around a wet track or field!
  17. I have been doing a similar search, but Justin for something a bit bigger than my KA as a second car! You can get alot of car for around 1k! Jag x type diesel estate, Saab 93 diesel sport wagon, Mazda 6 don't know about how any of those are for reliability, but a lot of car for cheap money!
  18. Just had a look at those settings, there still doesn't a aeem to be any way to actually a set the end points though, just that you can set it to auto rangeing, but that's what it should already be set to...
  19. Thats what He was saying, there doesn't appear to be a way to set the end points on the esc, and I have the same problem with mine! Only eay way to fix it was to turn the end points up on the controller, so now it hits top rpm and flies around! I ahould probably so the same worh the brakes he brakes though a small they brake force is quite low!
  20. cool thanks for that! thats mad how well it takes the water!! I will try and find some in stock and get some ordered!!
  21. 20180224_221252 by ben hawkes, on Flickr thats the only photo I have of it! For the money it works fine, but it is lacking in settings!!
  22. my one isnt that version its a bit differnt!
  23. I have the same looking version but the 120a version! I also couldn't find any way of setting the max throttle and brake either, and likewise it seemed very slow at top speed and acceleration! I fixed this by turning up the end point on my spektrum dx3s to 120% and it has got its top speed sorted now!! just dont trust the waterproof too much, firend of mine ran one in the wet, and it ended up going up in flames!! I ran my one in the wet this weekend however and it seemed to be ok, so maybe he dunked his though a puddle properly!
  24. So I'm thinking about doing some extra waterproofing to my electrics! Im quite new to the larger power electric game, and so far my two outings to tracks with my brushless 8ights have both come away with some sort of moisture related damage. First was a apparently waterproof esc which just died, and this weekend I thought I had killed another esc, but it might have actually been the receiver had got wet and caused some issues! So I have read about using corrosion x and it seems you just dunk the whole unit in it, wipe of th excess and that's it sorted? Anyone used it? Or know a good place to get it from? Thanks
