  1. Applied blue thread lock to my HPI Savage engine back plate and then i set about cleaning up my Kyosho short course truck it looks fresh now. I've ordered replacement esc and ball bearings to replace the bushings,. Did a bit of tlc on my Land Rover MN90, purchased some metal parts from far east some time ago, can't wait to get them to kick start the upgrade project for my little Land Rover.
  2. the problem with that is you got to pay quiet a bit for customs and postage from US which i can't be asked. bearings ordered from RCbearings thumbsup
  3. gwaan feed that addiction even if its for 5mins! I fried up my Savage today on my street for 5min only to feed my addict and listen to the sound the engine produces :))
  4. Guys, i've rebuilt my Savage X 4.6 after long time storage, fired it up today :D  I had notice tiny little bubbles appearing in the fuel line, there only tiny, should i be worried about these or is it normal to have tiny bubbles in a nitro engine ???

Always a pain with savage clutches, the stock flywheel is thinner than most to get the right clearance and its caught me out a few times now

  5. Ok, next question gents - is the stainless steel bearings made up of ball bearings inside? https://www.rcbearings.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=161_93&product_id=1595 realistically, i want to upgrade the bushings in my Kyosho short course truck (outlaw rampage) to rubber sealed ball bearings...
  6. Hoobyists - can some one tell me where is a good place to get sealed ball bearings in various sizes for your radio controlled cars????
  7. Maaan, I just bought a few parts for my heli 🤣 with this hobby there’s no way of survival unless you spend a little bit or little over or not spend at all and quit the hobby 🤣🤣🤣, I burnt my esc too, Hmmm I need to buy another one 😭 lol 😆
  8. I strongly disagree with this but respect everyones opinion, I've been in this Hobby since 2012 and i've owned a lot of decent brands and which some can be overpriced, Banggood does have decent stuff, not all RC is a waste of time on Banggood etc, I bought a Land Rover Defender for less than £60 on banggood and with small upgrades and or mods, thing is awesome. I think the main point of focus would be to realise how much your willing to spend on your new radio control cars and see what's the best bang for your buck.
  9. Jack how about these - https://www.banggood.com/K1-118-2_4G-4WD-RC-Car-Electric-Off-Road-Full-Proportional-Crawler-with-LED-Light-RTR-Model-p-1643224.html?rmmds=category&ID=513344&cur_warehouse=CN Tetra Power wagon, looks quality with great reviews and performance for £143 rtr, looks ace. i'm highly tempted to buy one.. next is ; https://wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/327919/ Axial C10 1/24th scale crawler, from Axial again, quality kit from Horizon Hobby which i'm strongly considering getting one. maybe this one? - https://www.modelsport.co.uk/associated-sc28-rtr-lucas-oil-edition-short-course/rc-car-products/418824 Team Associated, again a quality little short course truck 1/32 scale, i absolutely love it since getting one over a week ago, it is so so fun This looks cool from Panda racing, alternative model to the power wagon, check Banggood as there are decent rc cars for up to £150 albeit perhaps in smaller scale versions i think. https://www.pandahobby.com/product-page/tetra-x2-1-18-scale-crawler-rtr-4wd-off-road-vehicle-black-red how about something like this to build a Tamiya rally car? https://www.tjdmodels.com/tamiya-rc-renault-5-turbo-rally-m05ra-model-kit-47435-p-32397.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwg6b0BRBMEiwANd1_SBNHPyTiGvf9_c7Cb-5L2aMsw2YxunioR-SO0hQtoCg9XIxWloAu5BoC4ZcQAvD_BwE\ it comes with its own motor, but you need to add tx/rx and servo, you can get 2.4ghz tx/rx on Banggood for dirt cheap £20-40
  10. maybe he could try smaller scales betweek £45 - £120 range with well known brands.. i took the first step by getting an SC Team Associated short course truck during these times, I haven't looked back :DDD
  11. If your looking for crawler type with a realistic body, i would personally go for the Axial C10 1/24th scale, it retails about £116 which is in your budget and a quality, i really love the look of the Chevy body, i'm definitely getting one on my next pay. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/axial-1-24-scx24-1967-chevrolet-c10-4wd-truck-brushed-rtr-green/rc-car-products/446939 If you want something nippy which accelerates quickly and has fastatic steering and want to go around in circles or figure of eights for ever, get hypnotised and great for indoors or out doors on the tarmac i would go for Team Associated SC28 , it's a 1/32 scale. https://wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/287523/
  12. i'VE burnt my esc for my SC truck, it was a orion waterproof 45amp esc as my truck hit the wall and smoked the esc, i'm likely to get replacement as i really like this esc but is there any other similar replacements? the orion esc retails at about 20/25£

  13. Thanks I’m likely to get one to run it around in the garden and indoors whilst sipping my tea ☕️
  14. I’m thinking of getting one of these, how you finding it so far?
  15. Whilst doing rc in the garden my Kyosho truck glitched and went full throttle in to the shed burning out the esc 🙁 never mind it’s a hobby and let it be an esc to be replaced only ! 😊 on to my next Rc vehicle to play around with 😃
  16. Does anyone own one of these mini SCs? Would any owner be able to comment on it as i'm thinking of getting one for street bashing/garden etc
