  1. Changed the idler gear and pinion
  2. Just do some homework before jumping in and the gopro HD is very basic. I bought the 4 black thinking 4K was good only to spend
  3. Sadly best and cheap don't mix. In fairness, for under
  4. I bought this from here in december but it's not me and I can't be bothered with it if I'm honest. I have used it three times since buying it for around 10 minutes each. It came fairly hopped up to me but I wasn't told the centre HD cups have wear as it was used on 3S. This was silly fast so I've converted it back to 2s. Well used but maintained. Below is the advert from when I bought it: Turnigy trackstar sct esc 120A (with program card). Castle 3800KV 4 pole motor with cooling fan. T- bones fitted front and rear. Proline powerstrokes fitted all round. Brand new shell for you to paint as you desire. Rough basher shell with much gorrilla tape also included. Cvd`s front rear and center and rebuild kits /spares included. Stainleess hardened drive cups on the rear and centre drive-line. 1 run old rebuilt and shimmed diffs with new oil and new crown and input gears. New slipper pad fitted. One spare also included. New bearings (not pictured) and comprehensive spares package included. 3s and 2s spur and idler gears. Traxxas waterproof steering servo. Almost new big joes. I would like
  5. Don't bother with ebay tbh, before I bought mine I wanted a 3 or 4 black but they were selling for more than new prices. Also the new
  6. Glad you got it sorted Funny that I've had at least a dozen esc and motor combos from hobbyking and every single one broke or arrived faulty. I had a ezrun that arrived DOA for the replacement to go faulty 3 weeks later yet I can't remember any VXL or castle combos giving me any trouble. I remember a thread not so long ago about buying a scx10 from germany to save
  7. The savage XS also has its problems. I've used mine twice and wrecked it twice so yeah, it's quite weak even running HD parts The savage x is still my favourite all time basher but again isn't perfect. The revo is probably the best all round package but they're expensive for what they are. What sort of budget do you have and what do you want or expect from it?
  8. More than likely you will end up with store credit. Most times I've had issues its been dealt with within 24 hours but never tried over a weekend. They're great for lipos but I tend to now buy everything else from the UK. Hope you get sorted asap, I have no doubts it will be resolved
  9. To be honest, buying from a chinese company at bottom prices do you really expect high quality customer support like some UK companies? I thought part of the risk buying things cheap from abroad was the hassle involved should something go wrong, that's why I am always happy to pay more to get it from the UK, usually better quality too when I used to buy from hobbyking, I always submitted a RMA right away regardless, worse case took 4 days to resolve. They usually have you make a video and post it to youtube

    Next purchase?

I had a 2wd slash which I hated and I didn't really enjoy the rustler so stuck to 4wd ever since.

I've juat sold a lcg and hcg slash. The hcg rolls too much and there isn't much clearance on the lcg. It's also more like 1/8. I'm guessing the firestorm is like a rustler? What's the drivetrain like?
  12. There's always one lol. You could put them in a tin?
  13. I don't think there's much risk if in your suitcase but if by chance they got checked, they can't charge you on 'used' goods This is also how they get away with bringing extra fags back. Open each packet and smoke one or two out of each pack
  14. I was told to remove labels from clothes etc and open any electricals before returning.

    Next purchase?

Yes it's a pig, I've used it 3 times since buying it and each time has lasted about 10 minutes and it's not standard either, mainly so called HD parts. The garden is roughly 3 acres with a 75 acre field at the bottom of it so space isn't a problem. Not sure I want 2WD though, I ideally want something cheap to repair and similar size to the xs to have some fun jumping etc. The stampede doesn't interest me really. Just sold all my traxxas cars except one highly modded slash/rally. I did think about another rustler but the last one was always on 2 wheels.
  16. I was really looking forward to the savage xs due to it being small and cheap to repair but breaking it badly on the first outing isn't a good start, it's also a pita to work on if it's going to keep breaking so I want something to use mainly on the lawn but that can take a beating and be reasonable price for parts as it will be abused. Ideally I want a truck or truggy 1/10 or smaller with a tougher drivetrain than the xs.
  17. Seems like a lot of money and hassle to get only a few parts? Can you not just buy what you need? Spending

    Lipos

As no one else has mentioned it then I would reccomend hobbyking
  19. Beats me why anyone would spend
  20. It's a LRP .30 but to save buying an expensive back plate just to get a one way bearing I bought a hpi K series one. How much do you want for the thunder tiger please?
  21. What are the best CVD's? I snapped a rear today (believe it was a GPM) Also, what oil do you all run in the diffs? I may aswell chenge it while it's stripped. Big joe II here. I also have the gladiators but they suck on grass tbh.
  22. Snapped the rear CVD on the first outing of the savage XS. 2S was too slow so in went the 3S .... for about 10 minutes
  23. Like a needle in a hay stack. I'm looking for 32mm but with a 12mm bearing
