To be honest, buying from a chinese company at bottom prices do you really expect high quality customer support like some UK companies? I thought part of the risk buying things cheap from abroad was the hassle involved should something go wrong, that's why I am always happy to pay more to get it from the UK, usually better quality too
when I used to buy from hobbyking, I always submitted a RMA right away regardless, worse case took 4 days to resolve. They usually have you make a video and post it to youtube
