A bit more done today on the CC-01 but come to a halt as the Yeah steering links appear to foul on the chassis, spent to long going over & over what I’ve done wrong, so will give it a rest and may be all will become clear next time I look at it.

Red & tacky grease, good value this, if only using for RC car stuff if would last you a life time.

CC-01 build. Front diffs in, motor mounted & cover on, not as far on as I would of liked but i will hopefully get another two or three hours at it tomorrow

At last, I have made a start on the CC-01 Defender 90, not done much, sorted the bags out, got my kit ready, done the motor, blobs of threadlock already on the user manual and then Margaret calls me into make coffee, maybe I should have bought a coffee machine that she finds easier to use 😂 Will be back on it in half an hour.

Arrived yesterday my XV-01, it will likely sit on a shelf now whilst I do the CC-01 build, which I have actually just made a start on, at last and I also have a TT-02s waiting in the wings to do first, so this one could be a Christmas build

Another part for the upcoming CC-01 Defender 90 build which will hopefully get kick started over the weekend GF-01 shocks and barrel springs

An HPI 55t motor which I am hoping will go straight on to my CC-01 build without any extras needed

It’s growing on me too, especially knowing that it is working, so it may become a project to try and get it fully working, as I say more research to see if it comes apart easily, it did come with a user manual but no detailed drawing. Looks as if it’s hardly used.

I wasn’t really expecting to receive anything today but continuing to clear my Worksop / shed out to make more RC Car space, I had a load of Scalextric track and other associated bits and took it to a friend of mine down at A1 Slots near Newark, I was happy to give my stuff away I just wanted more space but Roger had a look at what RC Car stuff he had in his aladdins cave of mainly slot car stuff, he had acquired at some time an RC Tank and told me to take it in return for my stuff. I think it’s an HL (Hang Long) it is an old model 27 / 40 MHz, not sure what I’m going to do with, it, maybe a bit of research first, have a look an the tank section. Seems very plasticky/ toyish, with a problem on one side back suspension. Although with battery in and transmitter turned on there was movement. So back in the box and return to it in a few months time.

Today’s delivery a bit of Yeah bling for the CC-01 build, I wasn’t initially going to put this much bling on, I went looking for steering links, found this batched together that seemed like a much better deal than just the steering links. so I now have all the essential upgrades (in fact more than needed) so can start the build at the weekend

Today I had arrive a aluminium motor mount for the CC-01 and a few little bits that I’m sure I used to have but have gone missing I expect to find my old lexan scissors within the next hour or so 😂

Got this TT-02 type S today, looking forward to doing a rally spec with this but not for a few weeks yet, so time to start looking for other bits of essential kit for it. will also be looking for another one for a tourer in the future
