  1. Definitely an inspiration! Good to see the mad bulls being dragged into the 21st century. I remember mine survived pretty well without gluing tyres when it was running nimh but not sure about lipo. Iirc, not only does it take some abuse but also handles all sorts of surfaces very well. What lipo can you fit in there, have you researched it yet? Was looking at a 4000mah but wasn't sure if I needed more than 30c or not. Will get shocks as a priority then I'm going to look at what can be done about the steering arms. Then just bearings and should be good to go. Was thinking of trying this for the drivetrain: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GoolRC-S3650-4300KV-Brushless-Motor-60A-Brushless-ESC-and-Program-Card-L1X7-/182709531286?hash=item2a8a563296:g:aSQAAOSwcNxZiqtT There's a few other mad bull conversion threads on here so have bookmarked a few bits and pieces from them as well.
  2. This thread has got me thinking.......... Just bought a new bodyshell and tyres for mine. I'll wait for payday then look for motor, esc and lipo I reckon. Might have it finished by new year. Probably not though!
  3. Braindead - series - starts off okay, some laughs throughout but a bit slow after 2 or 3 episodes Black sails - series - good couple of series then started to drag. Bit of a light bulb ending - didn't see it coming Heist - film - twisty - quite good Suits - series - Hell yeah Shooter - series - meh Bad Education - film - okay, passed the time Taken - series - okay if you forget the films Mad Dogs - series - v good, entertaining Start Up - series - season 1 good, just starting on season 2 Train to Busan - film - cracking zombie flick - the running violent type Baby Driver - film - good film, worth a watch CHIPS - film - loved it John Wick 2 - film - yes, yes, yes and yes Baywatch - film - been waiting ages for this and it did not disappoint Dunkirk - film - preferred the original Ghost In The Shell - film - thought provoking YMMV

I'd fully agree if it wasn't the same story as a few races this season. Even the articles I read now question if poor practice performance is just merc gaming again.

Surprise surprise, merc slow in practice then hamilton manages top spot in qualifying. Hmm, not seen that before!!
  6. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hobao-Hyper7-TQ-motor-mount-custom-cnc-milled-Nitro-conversion-to-brushless-/192306520223?hash=item2cc65ca09f:g:YPUAAOSws1ZZrYGF It's a member off here if I'm not mistaken.
  7. My first nitro, a Carson something. Looked good and some nice bits but a pig to keep tuned (maybe my noobness) and parts were a nightmare. Bought it ready built from a lhs cos it looked the nuts....wrong route into nitro! Still got it, in bits, and have the memories... Then theres the smartechs. All 3 were really a pos but they were cheap so hey ho. I warn people off smartechs after my experience. You live and learn!
  8. Never really missed any of mine, have kept the one's I wanted. Saying that, I've always wanted the Hyper10 back. Not sure why, maybe it was just how short my ownership was, no chance for it cause me a headache. I bought it spares/repair for an ex-work colleague for his step kid, sorted it all out and sold it to him at cost. He ended up splitting up with his mrs before ever using it and afaik, it's still in the shed at the family home. He promised he'd grab it for me but for whatever reason never did. Although I 'owned' it for less than a fortnight, I really do want it back!
  9. Ime, the plastic steering arms let it down a fair bit. Other than wanting to go brushless, it's the one thing I always wanted to replace. The cheap grey plastic arms bend and flex too easily.
  10. Having owned a few lenovo things I dont blame you. I dont trust them or their spec claims anymore but tbf, outside of spyware and battery longevity the kit seems okay. Samsung would get my vote out of the two as well. I like Sony phones but never had any of their tabs. Apple would be last resort for me.
  11. I agree with gavster on apple, not a fan of apple stuff, took an iPad to China for work and didnt use more than once. Not quite the just works I was promised. A lot of that was to do with the iTunes lock-in but also email shortcomings. We have a lenovo tab and Samsung s at home and both have been bang on. Much prefer a memory card or standard usb for transfer.
  12. Are there any rules on bicycles, other than front and rear brake? I might look at one of these to get to work on.....

Good thing those leathers kept all his dispelled fecal matter inside....

  13. That's what I mean. Now you'll get birthday messages, targetted ads based on ASL and a letter from your doctor suggesting you get out more! Now we're living the connected world, a simple click here to begin really doesn't get them the goodies. It's weird sometimes. Iplayer refused to let me watch anything until I registered and logged in. Seems it's fine to call yourself NoThanks and live in NowhereYouNeedToKnow in StopSnooping-On-Privacy. Yep, you've well and truly got my number aunty beeb!
  14. Well they can't very well spy on your every move with a simple "Confirm the terms and conditions" can they!! Did you not have 6 days of updates to run through? That's what bugged me the most when I setup the PS4.
  15. 2.4 are short anyway. Don't think mine makes it out of the shell
  16. More likely to be sag under voltage, ie. as you mentioned, the hump pack isn't up to the job of providing enough current for both under full load.
  17. We live in the UK dude, when is this mythical 'drier' time you speak of??

Hmm, six races left and I don't think there's enough of a gap to say it's a foregone yet. Hamilton takes a hit somewhere for a DNF, that would leave him 3pts in front. That's only a 2nd place to Sebs 1st. I know going by the tracks coming up that Hamilton is probably now favourite but there's still 6 chances for something to take Hamilton out of a race.
  19. PM me your details, I'll take a chance on the spectrum rx if you think it works. Waterproof not an issue.
  20. Should be a simple fix then. Couple I've had needed threadlock on the grub screw just to a get a decent seal after it had been in and out a few times.
  21. Should work fine, just the reverse needing sorting.
  22. Have you worked out where it's coming from? I've found the orings round the outdrives to be the biggest issue, occasionally the grub screw in the side.
  23. That's not strictly true........ The drivetrain will fit but you'll need longer dogbones as it'll all be further apart. The shell can be mounted but will no longer reach the standard mounts, look odd and the side guards won't mount. I'm pretty sure I'm running an aftermarket ST chassis for my H7 on-road but I'm struggling for decent shell and had to source the cvd's from the H7L version etc etc. The rest is all good. The wing, engine, steering, radio tray & diff housings/mount are the same, the ST just runs different diff ratios. It is possible to do but you'll end up with a PITA model longer and thinner than it was designed to be. On-road that works, of-road................????
