  1. Great engineering... would love to see a buggy from these guys ...
  2. This looks very cool. I have several Q32's and this looks like a great competitor to that, fantastic to see RC companies trying new things.. If it's under £40 I'll get one for sure...
  3. Looks ugly in a not cool way and the suspension design looks to me like it would collapse inboard with hard driving and it's putting a huge amount of strain on that single vertical mount location. Very odd... and..not much adjustments available... It looks like a cheap Reely... and Reely's are really cheap...
  4. Maverick Strada's are excellent... The brushed versions are bullet proof. I have The 2014 XB, XT and an 2016 MT and I've driven them hard!.. I have upgraded the shock towers to CNC Milled after market alloy on two and carbon fiber on my XB. For the price they are in my opinion the best budget/intro RTR out there. As many might know they are HiSpeed RC OEM so the after market parts are everywhere but Maverick has a slightly better chassis design, plastics and the alloy on the new Mavericks are superb. I've raced my upgraded XB and it did very well against other buggies in the range such as the Tamiya TT02B and FTX Vantage. The only one I dont like is the new SC.. there is just something wrong with the body design... it looks to tall...
  5. Sure... It's a re-brand, and a wee bit more cash then WLToys... But it's expanding our options a bit, which cant be bad. Maybe it's got better electronics. Maverick and FTX are UK brands of HSP and Himoto but part of that deal includes improved electronics and even major structural changes such as the alloy and plastic composites. I own both Maverick and HSP chassis of the same car and I as far as I can tell the Maverick is a better made chassis, Everything is just that little bit better put together and better presented. Also re-branding means better options and choice for spares...
  6. It's the same chassis and the FTX Outback... I think the FTX has far better body options, the ranger shell is excellent...
  7. Knowing how often I front end things.... I'd have to say no to this.. Interesting design and I folowed it's progress but there is just too much financial investment in a motor to spend another
  8. They are perfectly fine for bashing around ... which is kinda what they are ment for. Great value. And for me.. the brushed stock versions are perfectly fast enough for such a little car that a brushless is just overkill K
  9. When are these going up on the site for pre-order .... ?
  10. I love my iOn .. thrash it around a lot. Really want the DT...!!
  11. That is fugly.. By far one of the ugliest shells I've yet to see.
  12. TAKE MY MONEY!! Can I arrange some kinda deal for postage to Malta that does not mean I have to kidnap and sell small children to afford it? K
  13. I ran the club at the Scout HQ on old skene road... not a huge place but was fun. Perfect for micros though. If I'm still here over the summer I'll be racing at Stonehaven yeah . Looking forward to seeing Phil and the chaps again. I'm hoping to stay in Scotland...it's my home. But may have to move for work. Trying freelance atm so if that pays the bills I'm staying
  14. Sounds a good plan. I'm hoping to be sticking around in Scotland again and would love to have a meet for a bash.
  15. The Stonehaven guys are fantastic! I raced there a couple of years ago, I even started an Indoor club in Westhill but had to move to Cambridge for work. I'm back in Westhill, Aberdeenshire again atm. I have a DEX210 to race, a FTX Carnage to Bash and a new Twin Hammers to go on forest walks...I also have a micro maverick ION 1:18th for indoor fun and can possibly arrange some indoor fun if others have micros. K
  16. I love it..like the clean lines and navigation layout... Great work chaps.
  17. Excellent vid... I love my Losi Micro. I gotta set up a ramp park like you've done great idea. K
  18. These look excellent. I was wondering what Maverick would do once HPI adopted the Atom for there own and re branded it. I can't wait to get one. Hopefully we'll get a boat load of alloy upgrades etc K
  19. I have a voucher, joy.... I want to spend it.. I've added the code in the relevant spot (well the only one I can find) however my order is still saying the full amount and is not referencing the amount that should be deducted by using the voucher. As it's for not a small amount of money and as it's still wanting my credit card details I'm reluctant to hit the place order button as I have no idea what's going to be charged to me and what's going the be charged to the gift voucher. Has anyone else used the vouches that can give me more info. Thanks J
  20. It says it's lipo safe but does not go into more detail... What's the cut off and what size lipo's can this cool little esc cope with ?. This would be the perfect esc for me to let me start getting used to lipo before I go to full brushless so I'm really wanting some more info... Thanks J
  21. I have the E-Firestorm with some alloy bits (hubs) ... Love it for bashing, wish more people would start racing Truggies again K
  22. The Maverick (Himoto) cars I have are the Strada XB Evo, The Starda TC (Original) the Scout Crawler and an Atom XB. I also have a EXB-16 which is kinda 1:16th version of the XB Evo, very cute I'd actually love to see a actual Maverick version of the EXB-16 (Troian) as I think they would do a better looking shell for sure but also possibly do a fully ball-raced version which the original is not. On my Wish List is the Vader!!! oh yes I will join the Dark Side. Oh and chrisfoster1971 .... Try here http://www.buyrccars.co.uk/c-4-spares.aspx?pagenum=1&section=-66-17-83-&SearchTerm=&sortBy=relevance&pageSize=60 for alloy parts ... K
  23. I have a Alloy hubs all round on my XB Evo and have upgraded my shock towers to the CnC'd ones. I got mine from http://www.buyrccars.co.uk I'm keeping my lower arms plastic though to have a flex point. Excellent service. I'm glad I upgraded, has improved an already good car. I'm milling my own center brace and chassis from Carbon Fiber atm so that should just put the icing on the cake K
