  1. The MST Wheels came. I need to get new tyres as these aren’t as wide, but theyre much better detailed and a much better colour I think youll agree: Here’s stock: Here’s the MSTs Theyre genius in the way you can set the offset. You lock it into each ridge providing a different offset. One thing I dont like, you have to glue them together once set. I wont be doing this as its a shelfer, just need to sort some tyres but I thought Id update this thread
  2. Got the potion: Here’s the mess we are working with
  3. This beautiful potion: Must admit, the reviews were mixed, but this has worked incredibly. Very impressed with it. Now its upto me to try and salvage the bodyshell
  4. Have you reset the ESC end points or just rebinded your Transmitter & Receiver?
  5. These came on the 23rd, the Illusive MST Drift Wheels for my Tamiya 934 45th anniversary. First time using AsiaTee’s, brilliant service and a free LED kit 🤷🏻‍♂️
  6. Youre turning the Transmitter (remote) on before turning the truck on right?
  7. So, inspired by my girlfriend buying me the Avante yesterday, I got my mojo back a bit (genuinely I was going to bin this entire thing, I was furious, and done with the hobby!) but the Avante re kick started the hobby, and got me out of my mood….. Today is my turn to host Christmas for my parents, so Ive been up early prepping the food and cooking the meats. Id dumped this project in the conservatory, but being as I was going to be in the kitchen for a few hours, I kicked back on with the chassis build. I wacked on @Tomley RC latest 45 minute Youtube video, put the meat in the oven and So. Bag C Steering Bellcranks. Bushed but feels very high quality and smooth? Upper deck fitted with Transponder mount. Obviously this isnt going to be raced but hey its complete this way Shocks built, standard oil filled CVAs. Lots of spacers inside, not much travel I skipped ahead as didnt have the electrics ready. Wheels & Tyres….. 23 year old foams have broken up No biggy, Ill add some to my next Plaza order We now have a roller……. Adding bits and pieces, bumper, antenna mount, belt tensioner Thoroughly enjoyed that build. It feels very solid and high spec which is bizarre considering the bushings in places. Also loving the black/gold asthetic. I had some blue hop ups in bags somewhere (turnbuckles/ball studs etc) but glad I stayed stock for now….. Now the elephant in the room, the bodyshell……. Ive ordered some ultra expensive Tamiya Polycarbonate Cleaner. I spent most of Christmas evening watching Youtube videos and reading reveiws on it. Results seem mixed, but worth a shot, maybe I can salvage “something”. Also attempting to source new decals
  8. Love a TL-01, got a special place in my heart they have. Good luck with it.
  9. After the debacle with the TA04, Im scared now haha. My Mrs did initially say Im NOT to build it so
  10. Its beautiful 😍 Special Brushed Motor Original Stamp 1988 Bodyshell. I was 1 years old when this originally came out……
  11. A necklace that doesnt fit 😩😩😩
  12. Well how bloody wrong was I?!? Somehow my Mrs snuck this passed my nose!! She even bought it down the stairs in its massive packing box covered in wrapping paper (she is 8 months pregnant) Im speechless! I love her so much!
  13. Bit of a disaster with the shell. The smoke appears to have reacted with the PS1 white, and has kinda destroyed the shell. On top of that, the decals dont seem very sticky, almost as if 23 years in a bag has ruined their adhesion 😞 😞 Merry Bloody Christmas! I knew I should heve left this boxed. Ive threw the whole thing in the conservatory. It can stay there for a week or so!
  14. I can see RC as a whole getting knocked on the head in 2024 as my Girlfriend & I are expecting our first child in 5 weeks. Financially I doubt I can justify anything, which is why Ive kinda gone all in on RC lately and bought what I wanted without thinking about it. Also, space wise, I currently have a whole room for RC, which will eventually be my daughters nursery/bedroom, so the RCs will need to either be sold or stored at my parents. When the dust settles, realistically my next obtainable Tamiya’s: 40th Anniversary Jagermeister Porsche 934 58170 Castrol Supra TOMs The Re Release Audi A4 STW A Raybrig NSX - not bothered what chassis Then theres the Pennzoil R34, which would complete my R34’s……. But this is how much a BODY is going for, and this is a good price…. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235329676075?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D777008%26algo%3DPERSONAL.TOPIC%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20230811123856%26meid%3D3b8d7fbe75ad472788d084f17d2f361c%26pid%3D101770%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26itm%3D235329676075%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D4375194%26algv%3DRecentlyViewedItemsV2%26brand%3DBrand&_trksid=p4375194.c101770.m146925&_trkparms=parentrq%3A985421e218c0acda67a195acfffe8fbe|pageci%3A69f83ddb-a1d0-11ee-a186-d669ad5dc516|iid%3A1|vlpname%3Avlp_homepage Finished: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166258197667?hash=item26b5c2c4a3:g:vIsAAOSwM2JkyRNo&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4GBcUjn1XA5rIyXuVnLBijrJcbRq%2BRJN5chjT4gfI%2FIHWT7AIJmKTJodhKlUvTFtbibaBGx7zxioSQ5smcNPkoaeKJEOrbTigwqfWwFGlKIQznn7rko6C97irBExdVPnAOZKD813wXe7yIrzD55l9GS13EVWQBXU5tzuqntxSg9K6IyQeus%2BsiB3rDHaLxk4reoZGQmM2lDtrjMYPqIlL8TvqIpnL3mDHA5rHPnkavYbX0PsGa9aIgvgSajPO%2Fta3A%2FzUxtUcua4HzRTIvNm3mnNx60KvtuRh2Du92WyZpiV|tkp%3ABk9SR-q6o4WTYw 30th Anniversary Porsche, but thats gonna be £1500……

    Tools!

7mm for a wheel nut isnt it?
  17. Made a start on the chassis. Bag A Built up two gear diffs Rear end went together well. Plastics and fit and finish are very very good. Certainly feels better than any recent Tamiya Ive built, including the BBX? Starting to build up the front end Belt drive! Not had one like this for a while. Whole thing feels very similar to my HPI Pro 2 I had. The Pro 2 was obviously higher end, with carbon fibre etc, but Im guessing one company copied the other. Not sure who came first the HPI or the Tamiya? Front and rear end: By the end of Bag B, it looks like this: Thats enough for today. This is meant to be a slow build…..
  18. I first decided to start with the body. Now Im not great at body’s but hey Ill do my best. I popped to my local modelshop to pick up PS 1 White PS 34 Bright Red for the wing PS 31 Smoke for the windows The shell is filthy. Not sure if its an age thing but its a bit worrying. Luckily. A scrub with hot soapy water and a dry with kitchen roll sorted most of it. I got the windows masked I presumed all the shells were the same but this one has different bonnet vents to the Xanavi & Calsonic
  19. Hello. I managed to snag this model NIB from eBay a while ago. Its sat boxed in my display for a while but honestly, It was winding me up not being built on display with the other shelfers…. Heres my current R34 collection. I think youll agree, its no fun in the box After a bit of deliberation I decided to bite the bullet and get it built over the Xmas period. Ive never ever built a TA04, so that should be fun Here’s some info on it https://tamiyabase.com/tamiya-models/58269 This was released 9th November 2000. So its just over 23 years old. For context, Id have been 13 years old at the time. I was aware of this kit, Id have saw it in Beatties, but I already had a TL-01 Focus, so couldnt afford another RC…. Anyway Here it is
