Welcome back. I took a year or two out as well.

  3. I run a lightweight chassis with essentially this set up http://traxxas.com/sites/default/files/KC1127-revo5308-base-setup-slayden.pdf (it's the gold/tan springs that make the rear difference) and it handles pretty much anything i throw at it. I'm not one for massive high jumps though, more of a graceful length kinda guy (TWSSBLOCK)
  4. I'm going to close this now as it will get out of hand. if you think a small minority of people are causing all the countries ill and it's nothing to do with a group of multi millionaires in government then you have fun with all the hatin'
  5. Looking good so far http://traxxas.com/sites/default/files/TRX-Engines_Manual_130103.pdf page 39 I've got to sort out a few Revo bits for The Dark Knight and I'm fairly sure i've got a spare Resonator exhaust going, PM me if you want it fella
  6. No worries bud, Try and find the 250mm tanks before you order otherwise you're just buying an expensive way to do a single servo conversion
  7. Best thing i did in ages to my Revo, try and find the, tank from the Hyper one seven TC, part number H87504, and you'll 20-25 minute run times out of your Picco.

What difference does where i come from make? Somalia and Bangledesh and Afganistan and DR Congo and Liberia...i could go on...Says hi I quit drinking and smoking a while back now so the money that won't be spent on treating me can be spent on others that aren't able to or don't want to quit. It's not for me to judge people on their lifestyle choices, Doing that leads us down a dangerous path towards fascism. Whilst i agree that the income from drinking and smoking is huge where do you suggest the replacement money would come from? Nothing for me to get over my angry shouty friend. You carry on being apoplectic over things you will never have the power to change

You know? i think it makes you a thief and therefore a criminal. You can whine and moan all you like about "the system" or "the corrupt government" but we all live in a fair and democratic country, if you don't like it there's two choices...naff off, go to a "better" country and shut up or get off your arse and vote...
  10. Brushless? BRUSHLESS? Now you don't really want another big chunky old petrol do you? What you want is something quirky and jumpy and 2WD for the lols...what you want is a Schumacher Havoc or if you really fancy an indestructible little jumper get its little bro the Rascal. Pros Both way overpowered, Spares still available from schuie themselves, Have interesting handling characteristics and are guaranteed to make you smile like a pervert in a knicker factory. Cons No real hop ups to speak of and the rascal has stupid wheel hexs (that can be modded) and are guarenteed to make you smile like a pervert in a knicker factory
  11. @ This thread I don't know about the rest of you but if i hear some music i don't like i choose not to listen to it again rather than getting all butthurt and ragey about the state of those damned young peoples music nowadays. Then i go and find something that i actually like listening to and groove like the buttshakin' Beard I am. Think about how daft you'd sound if this was about books rather than music. "when i was young our books had all sorts of cool words in them, now it's all different words and sentence structures wah wah wah" Y'all are too serious.
  12. Once you get your head around it they're quite a straightforward R/C to strip down, any questions just fire me a PM or start a build thread
  13. Nice ^^ Gotta love carbon lightweight Revos. Although the way i see it is that if you're saving all that weight on the chassis add it back on with hop ups and FAT WHEELS!
  14. Interesting thread this. a lot of the obvious villains in R/C are here but there's a few that have surprised me (TA06, MERV etc) Myself? i can honestly say the XRC 1/5 i owned years ago was just awful, so awful it's tainted my view of largescale ever since. Are you sure that's not an anagram of "Doesn't understand anagrams"?

  16. Does it come with the vaguely racist doll thing?
  17. Might be worth checking the backplate and front bearing for leaks as well. Sometimes cleaning out the fuel lines might not be enough. if you've taken off a couple of times they can develop small splits that can affect the tune, iIf you can't replace them and you've got enough to do so just remove them and cut a centimeter or so off each end.
  18. If it's losing it's tune have you checked for air leaks, Replaced fuel lines, chucked in a new glow plug etc? and i take it you've gone back to factory needle settings and re-tuned from there? before you look at pinching it check the compression. if the engine will hold it's weight when you hold it by the flywheel then don't bother but if it's a bit slack then this is a good guide http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/104414-how-to-revive-your-old-engine-for-l1/
  19. Short answer is No, the Picco is the cheapest option,. Regarding the 3.3 what do you mean by on the way out? Is it just getting a bit tired? if so a liner pinch will buy you a few extra gallons whilst you save up for the Picco
  20. Think of it as buying an awesome set of shocks and getting a fairly decent drifter for a few pennies extra
  21. Just the Drifter left now peeps
  22. Wheels sold, About a day left on the auction for the Revo and bump
