  7. hiya,i want to change the gear carrier on my fg marder for an alloy one,has anyone done this before,and is it an easy job thanks guys
  8. instead of having a race team,how about something to indicate we all support the modelsport forum,that way it dont matter whether your a good or crap driver,and we can still recognise each other at meets,just a thought

    a bigger engine will increase the speed,but other considerations have to be taken,i.e the mesh,diffs,gears etc,its trial and error mate,maybe easier just fit a two speed gear box to your 1/10 buggy

    you may need to upgrade your diffs,if you use a too powerfull engine you stand a good chance of stripping your diffs

  15. yes,any air leak would play havoc with the tuning,dissmantle it again,and make sure all seals and gaskets are clean and all the seats are clean,check seals for damage eg cracks or splits etc,if in doubt replace
  16. get rid of model technics fuel mate,i had a big problem with my swift,started running on tornado 20%,it made tuning easy and has been fine ever since
  17. yes mate,just cut the flat bit off the plug,once the failsafe is set up you can connect and disconnect the battery as many times as you like,it will stay the same,however,you should check the function of the failsafe before every session
  18. just a thought,i had a similar problem with my rudder servo on my boat,turned out to be a bad connection where the servo plugs into the reciever,it may help,
  19. sounds like your ratchet isnt engaging,it could be damaged,disassemble and check that part,maybe you have reversed it,thats as far as my thinking takes me,glad you enjoyed it while it lasted

  23. it sounds like the problem is not the clutch,but the adjustment of the second gear,adjust it to come in at about half throttle,see how that goes
