all these super baja rey clones, but no super rock rey clones :P

Take the shell off and run it as exoskeleton, close enough :P

I like it, not gonna lie. Only just now learned of the 30DNT which apparently is a similar truck, kinda peaked interest i've got to admit. My DBXL-E feels lonely next to all the crawlers.

yeah they are pretty close, but not quite to be able to exchange parts, some  guy on youtube tried to covert one and it was a massive faff, he probably spent more than an actual super rock rey in the end :P its also £550 vs £800. 😮

The other thing i would go for is if losi did a tlr kit version with some upgrades in the kit, i would go from that over a clone, but not the rtr model.

I really like this style of truck/buggy with he sold rear axle with the independent front, I just like the shock poking out the front and the taller tyres on the rock rey, it just looks epic, on the baja rey its all covered up

That's my thought. I really want a Super Baja Rey (i was so close to buying one, but went with the DBXL-E instead), but now that i have a stupendously expensive RC sitting there, i don't think my wife would appreciate me spending another grand (well, almost) on a SBR.

The 30SD DNT, or this one, on the other hand.. That's something that i could get permission for, possibly. And yeah, if they did a TLR Kit, i'd take that over a clone too, especially since for me, Kits spread out the cost (£500 or whatever kit today, motor/ESC month after etc - bit like buying in instalments). But since they don't, clones are somewhat interesting. And, i mean, both 30DNT and this one come with Max6 ESCs, so that's something to write home about already considering that by itself is what, around £150?

That's what i mean. If the Challenger is roughly the same price as the 30DN SDT which sells for £550..

    Hm.. -.-

I think it went bananas when he tried to convert it from SDT (SBR) to SRR coz till that moment all the SDT hop ups he had installed were Losi hop ups so I would say main parts should be compatible

I wouldn't assume that they fit. If it's like the 30DNT/KMX2, its a clone from another factory that doesn't use the same molds as the original.

Here his first upgrade he did with optional GPM parts for Losi SBR, doesn’t look like he had to do any mods but of course without commenting it it’s hard to judge
