    Tekin® launch range of servo's....

tws_tekin_navbar_logo.png?crc=4227535596 looks like tekin are branching out!!!!

Team Tekin has been at the top of the speed control game since forever (and makes fine motors too), so color us impressed but not surprised that the brand’s new servo lineup looks killer. Tekin is clearly not messing around with these bad boys! The lineup includes eight models in “torque” and “speed” variations with two low-profile units.

    Tekin states;

"Tekin servos are crafted from the highest quality materials available. CNC Precision Cut gears provide an extremely smooth and efficient drive train. 6061-T6 machined aluminum 3-piece o-ring housings provide strength and protection from the elements while the finish quality and design are second to none. Sleek chamfered edges and bold lines combined with a matte anodized finish are sure to accent any build."

THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE DESIGN

    ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY

    arrows.gif?crc=3845267533 Digital Magnetic Position Encoder

Our servos use Digital Magnetic Position Encoding rather than a standard potentiometer, which gives Tekin servos the industry leading accuracy, linearity and consistency.

    arrows.gif?crc=3845267533 Accuracy

Precise linear movement through the entire motion range with less than .2 degrees of deviation from start point to end point make Tekin the superior performance product.  Low deviation translates to pinpoint accuracy not found in other servos, which tend to wander and center poorly. Tekin is built to last at peak performance.

    arrows.gif?crc=3845267533 Linearity

Potentiometer servos can be up to seven degrees non-linear from end point to end point, creating a disconnected feel from your transmitter. Tekin servos eliminate this disconnect, giving you a linear feel and more precise control over your servo movement and position.

    arrows.gif?crc=3845267533 Repeatability

Performance is important but we are all about consistent performance. Potentiometer performance drifts due to many variables; heat, age, component quality, etc. Magnetic Encoding is a rock-solid, repeatable and consistent technology bringing an unmatched consistency to Tekin servos. Tired of constantly trimming your servo and having response feel different during times of longer usage? Tekin servos are the answer.

    arrows.gif?crc=3845267533 Efficiency

Accuracy drives efficiency. A servo that has to work less to center or stop without overshooting position is using less energy. This means less heat build-up, less component fatigue and longer life.

    arrows.gif?crc=3845267533 Element Proof

Dependable, no matter the terrain. Element Proof Tekin products are designed to handle water, mud & snow within reasonable restrictions. While we are not afraid to take on the elements, submerging is not recommended and voids the warranty.

Some have nice specs but I bet they will be outmatched by Hitec, can't see them being lower in price either.

The specs look good. It will really come down to price but the whole element proof out of the box is very attractive. Also coming with an aluminium servo horn adds value. I don't think a single Hitec or Savox comes with anything other than those cheap nylon horns that strip within a minute of use.

That's true, but for me, I save my horns if I ever sell a servo anyway, which isn't often, I usually kill them, so a metal horn isn't too much of a deal maker/breaker.

I bet they will be £130+

The only hitec I know that came with an alloy horn was the hitec branded 1/5 rhino digi4 equivalent, the 5755mg

P.s. I like the careful wording in the description....."element proof, can handle mud, snow, and water, within reasonable restrictions...."

We'll have to see. Some Tekin stuff is surprisingly reasonable, others surprisingly expensive but always has a good spec.  If only there was an RX8 Gen 3 with waterproofing.

Hhmmm, all depends on price but could well be a contender should I need a replacement in the trx4....

if if it’s like there other products, should be fine for crawlers. Nice to see established brands branching out too.

But every servo I have used has got wet and survived apart from a Savox waterproof which died  it's clever wording isn't it, it's unfortunately nothing new though.

    Ha that's funny!

P.s I notice these are potless servos! They've gone for a digital setup
