  1. A little kill switch story, in why it really is something you need to invest in, and its a risk you take in either damaging an investment or worst case hurting someone because you thought it's not your issue, concern, i don't need one, I'm the best most fantastical driver in the world and it will never happen to me..... There I was happily spinning around the local field with my 1/5; things start to go a little awry when it won't turn....i hear "run" in the background, "why" i say as i turn my head to see my beloved car trundling off into the distance, "run you **** idiot" i hear again as this time my 1/5 trundles it's way into the nearby forest..........at 30mph. I run.......it kills me more than my car, but having then drudged through bushes, stinging nettles (in shorts) and down an embankment, i find my car has dived onto an old railway line where several kids on bikes are looking rather puzzled.... (i had visions of them poking it with a stick as it ran on it's roof) In this instance, the most i did was pop out a lower arm, but there was nothing stopping that 15Kg car flying over the embankment and landing on some poor unsuspecting child.... Needless to say, killswitch was ordered....... I "foolishly" thought I could do without, but having a conscience means I can at least now run around with some semblence of thought for others.

  2. FTI throwing his toys out the pram again I see.... A community board is opened for discussion, who cares if people keep asking threads about the same subject? I treat them all the same and give advice where I can, because this community is here to pass knowledge onto others who may be just starting out, aren't as experienced or just simply have a question about something, and to discuss the hobby as a whole, not to open threads detailing your frustration that people keep asking questions about largescales. If people aren't allowed to discuss a specific subject, what's the point of a community forum? Lee.

  5. It's already pointless. Plus he puts his point across in his first post in a very frustrating manner. If he had taken the time to make the points with proper reasoning behind them, in a pleasant way then yes the thread would be suitable, but because the thread is titled "let's put an end to this" and he's basically thrown his toys out the pram just because he's frustrated that people keep discussing these things in my opinion the thread shouldn't have been started in the first place. Multiple threads on a similar subject honestly don't bother me, I'll either look at them or scroll right past them on the new content page.... Lee.

  6. You cant buy the wrong car so to speak, more of what are you prepared to live with lol thing is, youll say "ill sell one and get the other" but then you dont sell it, then you buy another car anyway, then 2 becomes 3 and then 3 becomes 4 and then 4 becomes a divorce

  7. It doesn't bother me whether people run a genuine HPI baja or a clone of any description, as long as they're happy and that it doesn't affect anyone else in a negative way. I've got a KM clone because not only couldn't I afford to spend
    2 points
  8. that is your opinion, you may want to rethink about buying things from me again, as my baja doesn't have a killswitch, so i guess that makes me a fool.

  9. Look in the petrol section there are countless threads about KM's, more to the point very recent threads. Basic searching on the website is your best starting point.

  11. So am back on the road Here's a few pic of the diffs upgraded and my new shocks Centre Front/Rear Then here's it all back together Rear Front So took it out and put 2 2s packs through it and nothing broke but need new wheels and tyres as one is completely buckled, found better clearance from the proline shocks, so only a few more upgrades left on my list to do and some of them our cosmetic upgrades

  17. The VapexTech NiMH's are recommended by quite a few people who know quite a bit more about LargeScale than I ever will - Mike1970 for example suggested the 4600 to me last year, before I got the LiFe. Al.

  20. Get a couple of shock tops maybe. The actual plastic hoop part where it mounts not the nut. And if jumping you may find the long horizontal bolt on rear end bends where the chassis anti bend rod connects to it. Not much of a major problem, was quite surprised to see the ball and socket still attached on the chassis end actually. My tq2 has been good to me so far

  22. Best thing to do imo, is for the mods clean this thread up, lock it and (maybe) pin it for the people looking for looking for some genuine information rather than the bitch fest this is now. Just my two pence.

  24. Hi all, Had my truggy a couple of months really enjoying it. Don't worry I don't need a list of the tune parts to get as can read on the front page. Just one question that I have, does anyone run duel shocks, I have changed the current shock around to check for any binding which there does not appear to be. I can see what additional parts e.g shock tower, longer bolts required to fit the duel shocks. but just wondering if anyone has done it and if there is anything that I might have missed Regards lex

  27. Clearly you have not had a Hyper7 before....who cares how you drive. Picture can only show me that it has stamped towers and shocks that will not be great for the extra weight of the electric stuffs....

  31. Personal note to myself... Never ever ever give the grandson a shot of the quad ever again , I have just had to walk 3 streets away to get some miserable bloke to get on his porch roof and fetch it as it lost signal and got caught in the wind .. Good point is I got it back and there is no damage .

  37. No some do some DON'T Some are OK and some are just plain crap and are to weak, machine wise can be hit and miss same as quality control so its really luck of the draw.. Good news is they replace anything you break and or refund without hassle Innovative diff cases should be a direct fit and just need shimming so if they don't fit then they may have gotten mixed up before packaging give young Rob a quick email i'm sure he will sort it out no bother

  38. ShenQi is the worst thing you can buy as I have one although all parts have been replaced with the hpi, I basically had to get it to a stock hpi as all the plastics are crap I wouldnt touch it pole again the diff n gears gave way while breaking the engine in on the first tank

  42. lmao my boss today was like, get it all mounted tonight ...dont DO THE SOLDERING! i just burst out laughing, my soldering IS awful and ill let him do it. The electrics i got given, was the best route to go, the servo i didnt realise was only a quid more expensive yet its coreless, and 0.7 seconds at 6v, thats mad, alturn has some catching up to do there im afraid to say. Battery wise for now i got a voltz 50c 5000mah coming, it will do, but will be getting more, hell if i like em i may stick with em, unless Andy Moore can cut me a deal with his batteries or Keith at muchmore but we will see, but for now, voltz will be fine! Id like to thank my dad for all this lol, he got me the kit..and then i was like its fine ill save up for the electrics..he turns round is like erm..no tell stu (my boss) to order whatever else you need in to run it and we will sort it another time...i <3 my dad means that my days being bored at home will be at a end for the most part! And im going to make it my mission to try and race at West london racing Center before the end of the year!

  43. Not much different to Royal Fail then. In my experience, a courier is more likely to take the package back to the depot if you are not in, and be able to tell you where it is, rather than simply lob it over your neighbor's back fence and leave it there to dissolve in the rain, not telling anyone what has happened to it...
