One sad thing about deaths like this is the reaction of some members. Lots of "I saw it coming" "Woohoo! another dead junkie" and really poor jokes. I don't expect ten bell salutes, but a bit of decency wouldn't go amiss.

Have Motability said it must be repainted ? That's quite unusual before the end of the contract. I'd be tempted to speak to them agian, explain the sutuation, and tell them you'd rather rectify it if needed at the end of the lease. Who knows what might happen before then. They are usually pretty good. Then just touch t up with a halfords pen to stop it looking too bad, and carry on regardless.

We've stated the history, the intention and the symbolism of it.
