Samari Posted June 1, 2022 Share Posted June 1, 2022 Hey guys, I've been out of the RC game for a long while but I'm looking to get back in. I've seen the new Traxxas Sledge and like the look of it. Can anyone advise my of the best battery + charger + radio equipment I should buy to go with this. (I have no RC gear at present) Any other essential bits or kit or upgrades I should be aware of? Ive upgraded the ESC, Servo and geared up. Ive also added a silicon ear plug to the centre diff. Im yet to it bash hard, but its been fine. Im waiting for the upgraded spur to become avaliable before I go too mad. However, lets address the elephant in the room. Its over priced. I accepted this, as its a Traxxas, and ties in with my other models. If youre set on one go for it, you’ll like it. BUT youre not gonna get much change out of £1000 with batteries and charger. Fact is, theres at least similar (maybe even better?) out there for the money. Youve got the Armma 6s range, the, Corally 6S range and the Associated MT8 in that category for cheaper. Battery/Charger wise, ignore the bundles, ignore Traxxas’ ID and Spektrum Smart and you’ll save a fortune. If budgets ok, aim for a dual or quad charger, and 4x 3s Lipos.
