Newbie needs help with Nitro RC not starting- Leeds/Bradford area

Hi,

I was given a Nitrotek Meteor just before xmas and it's been sitting in my garage since. Having initially testing it for about 5 mins it has sat still. I have tried to fire it up this week having had no experience with nitro's prior. The car simply won't start. Having watched countless videos on YouTube I am still unable to get the car working.

I have tried the following:

  1. Replaced the fuel
  2. Checked the glow plug (and the glow starter is charged)
  3. Primed the engine
  4. Checked the hole under the air filter is open
  5. Adjusted the High Speed Needle
  6. Left the Low Speed Needle at factory

Not sure what to do next.

Also, I'm not sure whether the car and controller should be 'talking' to each other when both switched on. At present, I am unable to turn left/right with the engine off despite fully charged batteries in both.

If anyone online could help that would be great. Even better, if anyone in Leeds/Bradford could take a look, that would be even better.

Thanks in advance.
