Battery Recommendation Please - FTX Comet 1/12

Hi All,

 

Just picked up a little 1/12 FTX Comet Buggy as a starter for my 6 year old for X-Mas..

 

It comes with the following battery

Can anyone recommend a better battery which will suit? I would assume a 7.4v instead of the stock 6.4v will give it a little extra punch and maybe 2000mAh instead of 1000?

 

If anyone could let me know sooner rather than later so they can be boxed up ready for Christmas 😊

I got a Comet for my boy when he was 6.
Time flies and he's had it 2 years now, ready for an upgrade to a bigger car now.

But it's out of stock here currently. But have a search for CRA194 LiFe battery.

 

I've actually upgraded ours to brushless and have got a couple of Fancy Whoop 2s LiPo's. But be warned I ran one on our donor car and it burnt out the stock motor.

I can't find the 2000mAh 25C version we have for sale anywhere.
But did find this 1500mAh 15C version. You will need to check the dimensions will fit in the battery compartment, I dont have mine to hand right now.
