FTX Vantage Brushed motor to Brushless

Hi everyone, I hope you are all ok during these times :)

I’ve owned an FTX Vantage Brushed version for 5 years. It’s held up great, only a few parts have broken but parts are cheap so it’s all good.
I’m happy with the vantage, but would really like to go faster than 25mph :3

Would I be able to buy a brushless motor and just plug it into my brushed vantage? Or would it overheat or would the wires not handle it? Sorry I’m not too knowledgeable about this stuff :(

I just want a faster vantage but not have to buy a full brushless version. Anything I could buy to make it faster would be great :) thanks everyone

If you were to go brushless you wiuld have to change the motor and esc which you find on modelsport or cheaper ones on ebay and depending on what brushless system you get would me could maybe go up to a 3s or 4s lipo battery.

Heres a brushless system that would fit-https://www.modelsport.co.uk/etronix-photon-2-1w-system-with-11-0t-3450kv-motor-45a-esc/rc-car-products/383998 or https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/9T-4370KV-Brushless-Motor-60A-ESC-Speed-Controller-Combo-Kit-For-1-10-RC-Car/202398789312?_trkparms=aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20200520130048%26meid%3D5e7e70b3238a4504ae4310900cc9a1f9%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D3%26mehot%3Dpf%26sd%3D353049525438%26itm%3D202398789312%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DSimplAMLv5PairwiseWebWithDarwoV3BBEV2b%26brand%3DUnbranded&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

You will need to change the esc to work with a brushless motor, but you can use nimh batteries with brushless if that's what you're using. I have with Mine and works great.

So does it go faster with a brushless motor even if you are still using Nimh batteries?

If so, I could just buy a cheap esc and brushless motor combo and install them and use nimh batteries I already have and it would be faster, correct?
