wiggles Posted December 8, 2017 Share Posted December 8, 2017 I have ordered some new 2845 4370KV motors and mounts for my mini 8ight and 8ight-T, I am planning on converting to 48dp gears to make it a lot easier to get pinions etc this means I will be using a 55T spur gear. The buggy is 58T as standard so with much more motor torque I should be ok I think. But the truggy is 62T so 7 teeth higher gearing will this be too much do you think? because I have the option to drop the pinion size to compensate. planning on running 2s just want more torque rather than max speed. What I mean is they will both have the same spur after I do the conversion but the truggy started off much lower so it is going to be geared up more than the buggy with a 55T spur.
