FTX vantage battery options

Lost Eskimo

Recommended Posts

Hi guys first post here so excuse me if its a daft question. (New to rc)

Just got an ftx vantage brushless and wanting to get a spare battery as the current one doesn't last long.

Having done some reading I see there are loads of different specifications etc and it's blowing my mind a bit tbh.

Please can can anyone recommend the replacement batteries and charger they are using in a vantage so I know it fits and works etc. Links would be most appreciated.

Cheers

A Turnigy or Zippy from Hobbyking will work fine. You just got to be careful that the leads don't sprout from the top centre as this is where the battery holder clamps down.

I was using a Turnigy 5000mah, 60c, hardcase in my Carnage.

If I was buying again I would probably go for a softcase as they are a bit cheaper and I have never had any problems with damage to the case.

Edit. The only problem with Hobbyking batteries is that you need to solder a connector on, unless you take it to your local hobby store. This can add extra costs if you don't have soldering equipment.
