'The Hulk' truck

Looking great.

I understand not upgrading the running gear, but upgrade all the links to metal ones, it'll help with your driving because at least the wheels will turn where you want them with proper steering links.

Slight issue with the truck today, more specifically the servo.

Running forward the truck will turn left and right as expected.

In reverse, on ever increasing occasions the truck would only steer in one direction, it would require traveling forward and quick 'left - right jink' to unstick the reverse steering issue.

Anyone ever experienced this or know the problem?

Thanks

Embarrassing, steering link catching on the chassis.

New steering links it is.

Hi, so I've been giving the truck some stick (the first scratch on the SSD bumpers physically hurt me), I'm sure you will all have experienced the plastic chassis links flexing due to the grip of the tyres.

Get some metal links I hear you say, my question is, what is the next component to take the brunt after the links and therefore what is next to break. Driveshafts? Diff? Nothing at all, forward motion is the only result :)

thanks

tim

Nothing changed on the truck, I have the urge to buy something for it but I have no idea what it needs.

Just enjoying driving it, a few pics from the most recent outing.

  • 1 year later...

Finally changed all the links for ssd’s.

Also decided to see what I was missing on the tyre front, so went for some rok lox by Rc4wd.  The tyres are night and day in my opinion.
