Glenyboy
Just bought a scout for my 5 year old, just wondered if there are any weak points or parts that are prone to breaking. Would like to get a few spares ready for it so I can keep on top of repair and maintenance. Thanks

hms
I've had my Maverick just over 2 months now, I'm very pleased with it but have suffered a few mishaps. The main one was the rear section of the driveshaft overtorquing and the crosspin connection working loose. I bent the plastic outwards but the same thing happened. I have since put a small tie-wrap around the plastic hub to prevent this happening - it seems to be working so far. Caveat: The main obstacles my Scout deals with is mountains of cushions and kiddies toys that have been left out. I have yet to run it in "proper" rock-crawling terrain. Glenyboy
He was just doodling around the house, I think the main problem is the type of plastic that has been used. It's a lot harder/brittle than the conventional softer/rubbery type
Tomlad
I bought one of these after putting too much weight in the wheels and breaking 3. Not had a problem since. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25T-M3-Metal-Aluminum-Dark-Blue-RC-Servo-Arm-Futaba-Savox-Xcore-HLHSPHD-kyosho-/252060814260?hash=item3aaffecbb4 Will probably get some new drive shafts and thought these looked pretty good. Not tried or tested but look good enough for me. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351143832672?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&var=620341939470&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT then will no doubt do Jacksprogis' axial diff locker mod http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/152327-maverick-scout-diff-case-modification-fix/
Glenyboy
From a video I watched on YouTube, and reading the comments on there. A couple of people mentioned that those drive shafts don't seat/lock on too well
