  1. I have decided that it is crawlers for me and so I have decided to sell my E Firestorm I bought this at the start of the year. I upgraded the motor, esc and fitted some Tbone racing bumpers and wheelie bar. I have been running it on a 5000mah 2s Lipo and it is nice and fast! The car has been taken only a handful of times as I do not really have the time to run it as much as I would like. It's in good condition the case has a bit of damage from bashing around. It has a little cogging but this does not effect the performance in any shape or form. Comes with: E Firestorm 10T Transmitter Upgraded Motor: Turnigy TrackStar Waterproof 1/10 Brushless Power System 4000KV/80A Programming box for this motor T-Bone Front and Rear bumpers including Wheelie Bar (Imported from America) Spare front A Arm Boxed Manual http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141830232256?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  2. Took the front axle off of the scout to check the diff locker and its gone. Now its sitting on the side in pieces
  3. I would also agree on getting that firestorm. Its an good set up with that charger.
  4. As others have said try a crawler. I got my firestorm and as much as I love it, it is hardly used. I bought a maverick scout then recently got a scx10. It is really a lot of fun just driving your car through the woods and streams. The maverick scout is an excellent car with a few low cost/cheap mods. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks, a couple of the decals hide some of the 'problems' I had Think the waterproofing went ok. Not sure if it would stop working straight away or after a while. I just sealed the edges with silicon and greased up around the gears
  6. The transmitter came today so finished the build Water proofed the servo cut the foams (not going for perfection here) and glued the tyres! and done, for now at least. Took it out for the first run (not the best quality pictures, my phone is a pretty naff camera). I love this car, loads of fun. had a couple of problems, it is a touch heavy on the front as OHO said it would be but I have glued them in now so looks like I need new beadlocks . I forgot to put a nut on the back of the servo horn!!! and I don't know how but the Y link (not sure if that's what it's called) popped out of the ball joint on the rear axle. I popped it back in but did not expect that after the first run. I'll keep an eye on it.
  7. Took my SCX10 out for the first time Brought the scout along as well but the differential locker went so it is now down to 3 wheel drive.
  8. Don't forget a BEC http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/211203-what-exactly-is-a-bec/
  9. Definitely! I couldn't believe it. doesn't matter now though it's sorted . It will be going through mud and all sorts soon any way.
  10. I have http://hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__25140__Turnigy_TrackStar_Waterproof_1_10_Brushless_Power_System_3520KV_80A.html with that programming card. On the card there are 2 ports. One the esc plug fits into and the other it doesn't. The problem I had was the card only work for me when I trimmed the esc plug down to fit in the 2nd port on the card (the port that it wouldn't go into at first). Then I was able to program it fine with out a problem. Sorry I can't be more specific I did it in January and the esc is locked inside my firestorm.
  11. I have nearly finished building the Dingo up. Just waiting on Transmitter and receiver then that's pretty much it for now. Had a bit of a disaster whilst spraying the shell. I masked it all up, no where was left uncovered but instead of masking it all I taped paper to the case and once I started spraying I didn't notice that some of the masking tape on the paper had lifted. Sprayed the black all ok, removed the mask and sprayed the yellow. All was going ok or so I thought. I removed the clear film and saw that what I thought was over spray on the film was actually on the car and I was a little gutted, or alot gutted. I also forgot to mask me lights up on the front So what I decided to do was using carbon fiber vinyl sticker I covered the bonnet. Think I got away with it, no chance in hell would I be forking out for another shell! This is the only picture I took, I was too gutted. aaand stickers galore! One next to the scout.
  12. Those Beef tubes do look great but I'm not spending any more money on this for a while wallet has taken a beating lately, I'll stick with the weighted wheels for now. I do want some beadlock wheels at some point and I'll be getting LEDs fitted too all in the future though got a few things through the post today and built a little more tonight. Starting to look like something now
  13. Been adding weight to the wheels. There isn't much room between the ridges in the middle of the wheel and as a result not much room for weight. I have seen the axial ones and don't fancy paying so much for them. So I got some lead flashing and first cut some 7mm strips followed by 11 mm strips. Managed to get the weight to 60g for the back and about 90g for the front. Wouldn't be able to wrap any more lead on as it would raise it in the centre too much. Would have liked a little more. Does anyone cut the foams? I did it in my scout and I think it was an improvement. Just a little hesitant to do it on the scx10. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  14. That looks spot on. Love the arnie figure. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

  16. Bit too far up for me which is a shame.
  17. Right bugger that, me being brave and a nutter unfortunately not that good at soldering. Just nearly shorted it as there's not enough to solder it to. Oh well next question is how do i dispose of this safely as I cant drain it?
  18. Don't really have anywhere local, Ill have a look see if the tab folds up
  19. I took my firestorm out for a bash today, and it lasted about 15/20 minutes then stopped. So I thought it was low voltage cut off. Brought it home and tried to charge and got a Connection break error on my charger. This particular lipo I had opened up before after suspecting a loose cable (This is what has probably led to it breaking) so I whipped the case off and saw one of the connections had broken off. Is there a way to repair this? or is it buggered. It looks like it was pressed on originally and I wouldn't want to go near it with a soldering iron.
  20. Although I put my charger onto storage I always end it manually, did you notice the amps at which it was charging? I think it lowers right down before turning it's self off.
  21. That's normal for the battery, as Tug says get them to swap the Motor.
  22. Ha, I guess I do need a BEC then . Thank you OHO for the offer that's very kind of you.
