hipwell
For racing or just bashing? Looks a good basher, sealed shaft drive will be more robust. As a racer it looks pretty basic and probably wouldn't compete with newer top spec models.
jimmer7
Just for car park bashing
nitromaddm
RS4 Sport 3... Awesome! I have 2. Both converted to Brushless. 1 60A, other 120A If you have ever owned a Sprint 2.... This is a must.
nitromaddm
In Brushed form it's ok if you want the drift but that's about it. For bashing... Brushless is a must.
Goddessloviatar
I've got the falken Porsche bodied rs4 sport 3 flux, my first half decent car about 2 weeks ago. Running 7.4v 6200mah lipos, it's pretty quick. The only issue so far has been the little red o rings in the drive shaft socket in the front diff. First decent bash in the work car park one managed to pop out. Ordered more, I fitted 2 in the socket as there is a lot of sideways play in the little drive shaft. Today the short drive shaft popped out, luckily I managed to find it! So far it's the only issue I've had with what seems a decent bit of kit. Goddessloviatar
Bit of an update... Bashing in the work car park and a similar one in Wales, the front right drive shaft pops out at the slightest provocation- I've ended up with two o rings in the diff side and one in the wheel itself. Predictably the left front started popping out instead.. That now has 2 o rings fitted and the shafts stay put. This has also solved the other problem I was having, the car would immediately spin under braking no matter how gentle.
sozerelli
I also have the hpi rs4 sport falken bodied flux. Only had it 2 days, running on 3s the thing is an absolute beast! Recommend it Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Goddessloviatar
Cool! Not tried any 3s yet, strapped my phone to the back of mine and the gps speedo recorded 39.8mph...
jimmer7
Sorry may be daft question. But whats the difference between the rs4 sport 3 and the drift version is it only the wheels as my boy likes the bmw body but wants a drft car. Goddessloviatar
Check the specs for the particular car- some of the models have the motor and electronics mounted the other way round to normal, to put more weight over the front wheels.
