definitely

Definitely.

The porker looks good. I was thinking on my drive home tonight that an Imprezza 5ive would be pretty nice.

We need

i) someone who can carve foam/mdf

ii) someone with a 1/5 scale vac-former

ii) some co-ordination

and the world could be our oyster... :)

i) sorry not me

ii) sorry not me

iii) I can barely stand up some mornings....

I'm happy to pay for a couple though...  :)

Is it a though to consider a small syndicate to put some monies in, problem is someone will have to actually make they and have all the bits to do it, would be willing to invest a little bunce into something if several other parties are interested.

Pioneers of the UK's fifth scale shell company, could be on Dragon's Den giving advice in a few years eh! Lucrative export deals, copyright designs, world trade fairs...the world is the oyster! ;)

No movement yet. The last time I visited my local B&Q to pick up the MDF, their cutting machine was out of action. Since then life and work have gotten in the way.

I'm intending to turn my attention back to it next week. I'll post any progress I've made

One thing that going and checking the MDF sheets out brought home, is just how big the vac-former frame would end up being. Producing the necessary downward pressure is going to prove interesting; I can see why machines tend to be used at this scale. Others have done it at this size, so I'm not too disconcerted but I think it's about on the limit of what can be done manually..

Cheers for the kind words. Interests duly noted

I've figured out what I think my cutting list is for the vacuum former. I just need to pull my finger out and get the parts to construct it this week. I've also stretched the mule chassis to get a better fit (and reduced the rear toe angle to improve things a bit)

I still need to track down a source for decals. I think I may need to ask someone to create them from scratch which is a pity. I was hoping that I'd be able to find something online for such an iconic car, which I could scale for the sizings to pass to someone for creation. Ho hum!

i talk to a kid in Canada he's a friend of the rc sparks guys, and he's a graffic design specialist thats his business, and cuts any profile you need,

He's never on here thou, but ill mention it to him, what design was you thinking?

Cheers for that, much appreciated. I've not had any luck so far with the 2 places I've tried contacting.

The decals would be pretty simple in design terms I think. Essentially it's;

Any news....?????

I'm being desperately patient... Even bought a brand new Losi 5ive T for this shell to go on...

It's taken a back seat recently I'm afraid. A few things've cropped up which mean RC has taken a bit of a back seat. I dusted the shell off last week however and have removed the flashing from around the edges. Next step is to sand and fill a few areas. I'll be taking the cutting list to B&Q again next week so hopefully something to report soon.

I'll get in touch with Louse and sound her out Tug, thanks for the pointer.

If you get a chance to ask the question of your Canadian guy, that'd be great flatout! Not that there's much rush at the moment! lol
