Gx12-cr needle settings.

I'm sorry if this topic is somewhere else on this forum. But if any of you have read my first post on here you will know I've getting my pure ten alpha 3 4wd with an gx12-cr engine back out the loft after about 3 years. I'm trying to give it a good clean up and getting it back to running order.

I'm just wondering what the setting are for the needles. I'm not very technical and don't really know the right terminology. As I can see it has 2 needles that u can set. The black plastic one u can turn with your fingers and the little flat headed screw to the right of that.

Any help I would be very happy with.

Cheers stu.

The little flat head screw adjusts the idle speed. If you take the air filter of and look down into the carb. and move the screw you will see that the gap changes. Set this gap to about 1mm open. The main jet (the big one) screw all the way in till it stops (not to tight) then open it 2 full turns. That should get you going. Hope that helps.

Thanks mate that has help a treat. The car is ticking over lovely but the only thing is that when I pull down all the way on the lever on the remote the car cuts out. Is it the idle needle that needs slightly moved to stop this happening??
