bmx833
Searched the forum and didn't find one, so here it is, pictures, discussions and advice etc are all welcome, I'll get the ball rolling with my RC8be Few shots from the phone, will get the camera out soon! It really is a great car, strong as an ox and quick as a hare! First question: Anyone got any advice on diff oil set ups? Front tyres ballooning like mad! Anyway, looking forward to seeing what you have, any of the RC8 variety count, be it nitro, electric, new or old. I'll add the members that own them to this thread and at some point design a signature banner Brad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

jonb82
Nice mate, where did you find the best place to get FT parts from? Ive seen dollarhobbyz are really cheap but never ordered from them before
Leo
Most were from dollarhobbyz but some were from eBay.

jonb82
A few updates on my RC8.2e, my rear chassis brace broke so i upgrade to the FT aluminium one. I also thought id treat myself to some factory team parts from dollarhobbyz, so i ordered shock towers and shocks, great service, arrived in 5days!! I will fit them when my parts arrive to service diffs hopefully this week.
jonb82
Still waiting on parts for my diff service probably gonna go 7k 10k 5k with the oil and see how that works out, also still waiting on front shocks to arrive. Cant believe hardly anyone else runs this buggy its a great piece of kit, i love talking to myself lol
jonb82
Finally serviced my diffs and built and fitted front FT shocks Went for thicker diff gaskets as i read of leaks from the thinner ones available First time id properly stripped the buggy down, wasnt as daunting as i thought Oops knew i had a leak on the front diff, was empty when i opened it out, replaced seals and packed with a bit of extra black grease before filling and all seems ok now. All done and back together!!!

Cant believe hardly anyone else runs this buggy its a great piece of kit, i love talking to myself lol I'm surprised there aren't more people running these. I have one to strip down and rebuild, and a bunch of parts. Just haven't got round to doing it yet. It's a nitro version. Looks built like a tank. I have a few of the thunder tiger trucks too - the diff cases for the RC8 were a direct fit for the MTA. Probably for ST-1, EB4 etc. maybe there should be a combined associated/thunder tiger thread...

jari
and mt4g3 as I bought these the other day mt4 g3 is same diffs as the older st-1... so lets see: RC8, ST-1, mt4 g3, eb4 g3... mta is same diff case but straight cut gears not helical cut. and I bet the new models diffs are the same. so how many other cross over parts are there between the models ? how much does the rc8t resemble the st-1 or the mt4 g3? how much do the arms/ knuckles on the buggies match?> I know the older eb4 and rc8 knuckles look identical to me: the eb4 g3, st-1 and mt4 g3 are the same. if the diffs and diff cases are the same would all the bling for the factory team fit the TT versions too?
