setting ride height

When setting the ride height should you alter each shock to make sure the car is running exactly the same height either side ? Or should the shocks be exactly the same?

For example when setting the front up does it matter if I lower the front left shock a tad more than the right to ensure the car is running at the exact same height left and right?

Or is it more important that the shocks are screwed down the same left and right?

Massively important that the shocks are all equal length and set up equal.

if its different then you need to do your front and rear droop correctly, make sure all the shocks are built the same exact same length.

Droop is fine, I do droop with the shocks off anyway.

Just detweaked my chassis, was a tad out of place and that seems to have done the trick. Suppose I will have to redo droop etc now lol.

I thought that maybe if the car wasn't balanced properly left to right may have the same effect of been higher at one side but my balancing jig doesn't fit my car so I can't check that

You could actually have the shocks set to different levels without there being a tweak in the car, for example the springs may be slightly different lengths from the factory., or the car is heavier on one side or in one corner. You can go to great lengths to set the tweak in a car with spring pre-load but to be honest if your car accelerates and brakes in a straight line then you will be OK to just keep the collars at the same position on both sides of the car - I do.
