dee
have seen the likes of these but i would presume they would be slow http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/red-bull-racing-rb7-sebastian-vettel-1-24-scale-gift-remote-control-f1-car-/181024867342?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item2a25ec440e http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/F1-Remote-Radio-Controlled-Racing-Car-BIG-1-10-SCALE-/110686853468?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item19c573595c
Feedtheinferno
have seen the likes of these but i would presume they would be slow http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2a25ec440e http://www.ebay.co.u...=item19c573595c Yeah they will not in any way keep up with a TS4N, they are toy grade, you need hobby grade for the speed. danny boy
Does it have to be an F1 style mate? Because most F1 style rc cars are similar in style to pan cars, which makes them difficult to drive or control on anything more than a perfectly smooth track or car park. But if it must be an F1 then something along the lines a second hand F104 would be good.
dee
anyone know what like the tunder tiger uno f1 is???
mugen mark
as above beware of anything to f1,they tend to fly of the tarmac, with wihte lines, ect and need a lot of control, tamiya tt1o,seems a good comprise, with a choice of loads of shells that are race cars copys
dee
hmmmmm so might not be a good idea for a beginer and a mad 14yr old boy then lol??????? cos i recon he is going to have a heavy thumb lol
mugen mark
the tt01,will handle car parks, but the f1o3,f104,is for carpet racing or perfect tarmac,my grandaughter trained up on the tt01 and she been racing 1/8 with me for the last 18 months,so it a good starter with very cheap spares. dee
so u recon scrap the F1 and go for touring car style??? Edited December 7, 2012 by dee
Garry
Definitely. Even if you drive the F1, you'll probably struggle. Even I struggled with a HPI Formula Ten on a carpark. Anything other than high grip carpet or super-clean race-spec tarmac will see it doing doughnuts and melting the diff.

SirusDviruS
Why not get him a TS4N too? Approx
theoriginalbasher
Im 14 and if he is a begginner dont get a f1/pan car. 1/12 scale pan cars require really fast reactions as I learn't the hard way. Many top level rc racers train with pan cars to work on their reaction times etc. They are difficult to drive. I tried one from my LHS and thay are just too fast and agile for me. Prehaps if he wants a on road ask him if he wants a rally/ touring car/ drifter. All of thes could be made from a tamiya TT01 and with a cheap 35 or 60a ezrun combo can be made to go really quick. Loaads of people have TT01's and the parts/aftermarket support is good. Hope this helps

Garry
cheers guys looking for a decent TT01 also keeping an eye out for maybe a truggy for the getting bounced off of kerbs ect fact The Maverick I linked to is RTR, tougher than a TT01 and has some scope for adjustability if needed. Better in every way than a TT01. Plus it'll look waaaay cooler wrapped under the Christmas tree than a secondhand tatty Tamiya! They also do it as a buggy, stadium truck, monster truck or short course truck for not much more money. http://www.modelsport.co.uk/maverick-rc-electric-models/rc-car-manufacturers/1163/9900/990010&MSAttributeID%5B82%5D=
