Shouldn't that subtle, never-be-noticed (NO!) Mk.I Essie have side stickers as well?

Could hardly say its understated - loving it actually.

Al.

side stickers were later fitted, the pics were taken on its first outing, still need to sort the interior,

Have you got a full build thread on this conversion? Love to read up on this as I had a good few MK1's when I was a kid and am now hitting a midlife crisis so want another AVO Mexico to play with.

3+2+3+5 = 13 weeks this last year - seemed more to be honest James!

Thought you'd go for a GTC or VXR - that looks tame unless its a TD and you've called the guys from Celtic in ....

Agreed, would love to see a build thread of that Essie 'Cosworth' 4x4, including the final photos with the side stickers .... Ossum as the 'Mericans say.

no mate just a few pictures along the way,           It was quite a job to marry the sierra floor pan into the Mk1, but well worth the effort,

I have fiddled with the MK1 and 2 escorts for years and done some weird stuff with them but never seen anything like this. That is some engineering,I take my hat off to you two. :36_1_32v[1]:

No Al,its a straight 1600cc...fekkin bored to ****e with it.Its gotta go and thats why im going to test drive a VXR GTC after the new year, just fancy one :whistling:

Problem with the GTC, its too American .... too W I D E for UK roads.

Brought this to mind ...https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&rlz=1C1SAVA_enGB521GB522&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=fat%20bottomed%20girls

Nice looking, but typical of many cars of late - too wide for ever-narrowing roads.

Bring back the Essie I and II !!

(And of course the Dolly Sprint!!)
