The tt01 is the first one they done pretty standard kit the biggest downfall is the bodyposts being attatched to the diff casing the tt01e is the revised version bodyposts not mounted to diff casing etc and yes the tt01d is the drift version but they are all good drifters.

TT01 - available as a kit or pre-built ready to run (had XB in the title)

TT01E - same as above but had separate shocktowers from the gearcases, a new upper deck with transponder mount and motor guard, and new braced steerign arms

TT01D - Same as the basic TT01 but had ballraces, adjustable upper arms, a clip-on motor heatsink and plastic drift tyres.

not really, your better off using the money to buy an alloy prop shaft and race bearings as these make a way better difference than what the tt01e has

Is it worth converting a TT-01 to a TT-01E then?

They are a bit easier to work on, but unless you're planning on swapping over from a gear diff to a locked diff all the time, its not really worth it.

Versions

  • The TT-01R (Race) - Adds aluminum alloy drive shaft, adjustable rear toe-in and a Tamiya 25T "GT tuned" motor. The race kit does not come with a lexan body shell.

  • TT-01E (Enhanced) - The standard TT-01 model upgraded with polycarbonate suspension uprights and fibreglass-reinforced nylon upper deck/chassis bracing and motor mount, thus improving both the structural rigidity and the toughness of the vehicle. For more information on the updated parts check this information from tamiya: TT01 vs. TT01 E By Andrew Kuntze

  • TT-01D Type E - Combines "D" upgraded parts with "E" upgraded materials.

  • TT-01R Type E - Combines "R" upgraded parts with "E" upgraded materials. Also adds metal diff cup joints, dog bones and wheel axles.

  • TT-01ES (TT-01E Sport) - XB Series/RTR-only version of the TT01E kit. Uses cheaper materials to achieve lower retail price.
