To belt or not to belt?

Got some new dirtbonz for my savage.

Thinking about duct taping the inside of the tyre.

Gonna run them on dirt or grass until it cuts up.

Not sure if I'll get more grip without belting.

I guess if I get any straight line speed up the truck will be more stable if belted.

Think thats possibly the answer but want some opinions.

Cheers

Alright Rik! :)

Depends what you're doing with them... If it's for dirt and grass, and on one of your Nitros, then I'd stick with unbelted, apparently they handle much better that way - the firmness lessens grip and weight's no good for handling. Straight line speed will be more stable belted though, but at a price..

Hi Lawrence!

I was leaning towards belting but reading your post has kinda given me the idea of one strip of tape right down the middle.

Half and half, maybe the best of both worlds then?

Might be the way to go.
